Summary of This Role

Reviews and analyzes consumer and/or commercial credit applications that are not automatically approved or declined by credit card applications. Receives requests from cardholders and merchants that involves credit decisions. Works within client defined credit policies to insure accurate credit decisions. Reviews applications for possible fraud. Provides quality customer service in a timely manner while working in a multi-client environment with multiple system applications.

What Part Will You Play?

  • Handles 30-70 daily inquires from 3 or more assigned clients within a multi-client environment with various application systems by responding to cardholder requests, such as credit line increases and account maintenance, and reviewing/processing credit card applications to include verifying information against credit bureau data. Requests system generated letters to credit applicants requesting additional information in order to accurately process their credit application.
  • Develops job skills and familiarization with internal and client specific policies and procedures through training, applying established processes to resolve customer inquiries, and assisting more experienced Credit Specialists.
  • Completes required documentation/reporting to accurately track daily work assignments for client billing.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Typically Minimum 2 Years Relevant Exp
  • Related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-4 years related work experience

  • Skills / Knowledge - Has substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.
  • Job Complexity - Works on assignments that are routine to moderately difficult, requiring some decision in resolving issues or in making recommendations.
  • Supervision - Normally receives little instruction on daily work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments.
  • Skills / Knowledge - Working knowledge of credit bureaus and reporting
