The Digital Acquisition and Engagement Team is dedicated In providing Internal stakeholders with creative and effective communication materials. The Creatives Specialist plays a key role in preparing these materials for the distribution team, financial advisors, and agency leaders. This individual works closely with the Digital Marketing Manager and collaborates with other creative professionals to ensure that internal communications are clear, engaging, and aligned with the brand. This role offers a unique opportunity for shaping the way the organization communicates internally and supports its business goals.
The primary focus of the Creatives Specialist is to develop visually appealing and impactful creative assets and communication materials that meet the needs of the distribution team and financial stakeholders. This person is responsible for ensuring that all materials are not only consistent with the brand but also innovative, helping to drive effective communication and engagement within the organization.
In addition to core responsibilities, the Creatives Specialist stays informed about the latest design trends and communication strategies, ensuring that internal communications remain fresh and effective. Their proactive approach helps maintain a high standard of excellence in how the organization engages and informs its internal teams.
Position Responsibilities:

Develop Internal Communication Materials:

Create visually engaging and brand-consistent communication materials tailored for the distribution team, financial advisors, and agency leaders. These materials should effectively convey key messages and support strategic goals.

Ensure all visuals and content align with organizational standards and is developed and delivered in a timely manner to facilitate smooth internal communication processes.

Support Strategic Initiatives:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design creative assets that support strategic initiatives and enhance internal engagement. This includes preparing presentation decks, newsletters, and other collateral that align with business objectives.

Contribute to brainstorming sessions and strategy meetings to provide creative input and ensure alignment with overall communication strategies.

Maintain Brand Consistency:

Uphold Manulife brand guidelines across all internal materials, ensuring a cohesive look and feel in all communications distributed within the organization.

Continuously review and update creative templates and guidelines to reflect any changes in brand positioning or communication strategies.

Innovate and Optimize:

Stay informed about the latest design trends and internal communication strategies to keep materials fresh and innovative. Implement new ideas and creative approaches that enhance the impact of communication efforts.

Gather feedback from stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and optimize materials to better meet the needs of the audience.

Facilitate Collaboration and Communication:

Serve as a liaison between the creative pillar of Digital Acquisition and Engagement Team and internal stakeholders, ensuring open lines of communication and smooth workflow processes.

Provide guidance and support to Agency channel members and stakeholders regarding best practices in design and communication to enhance overall effectiveness.

Required Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Marketing, Communications, Multimedia Arts, or a similar field.

3-5 years in a creative role, ideally in a corporate or agency setting. Experience with internal communications is a plus.

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects). Knowledge of video editing and animation tools is beneficial.

Strong portfolio showcasing skills in graphic design, multimedia creation, and layout.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to explain complex ideas clearly.

Proven ability to work well with different teams and internal partners.

Skilled in developing innovative and strategic creative solutions. Can turn business goals into engaging visual content.

Stays updated on design trends and best practices in internal communication.
