This role is responsible for the strategic, operational and people leadership for embecta in North East Europe including Austria and Switzerland.
You are accountable for the P&L of the NEE region, driving continuous business growth and profitability. You will focus on implementing organizational capability plans and ensuring operational efficiency and successfully lead and develop the Commercial team in North East Europe.
Responsibilities:
- Activities may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Adaptation and localization of the EMEA strategic plan to meet the needs of the aligned countries and lead business development initiatives that support the overall company strategy.
- Drive country revenue growth and financial performance in addition to defining tactical and financial goals for countries.
- Drive operational excellence in the region, optimizing commercial footprint and scale
- Lead and develop the Commercial team within the region
- Manage, drive and develop the business objectives and operational plan to ensure greater predictability of the DC business
- Implement and drive effective performance metrics to evaluate, optimize operational efficiency, and report consistently and effectively on progress to business leadership
- Manage the commercial calendar for the countries and lead on the performance calls and country business reviews
- Maintain customer, market and competitor knowledge.
- Lead in a matrix and drive cross functional collaboration to assure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency
- Analyze, identify and highlight new opportunities and future risk to the Leadership Team.
- Focus on innovative solution launches with a commercial execution plan.
- Work with the International Leadership Team to ensure the business interests are properly voiced and acted upon in local country and to support regional initiatives.
- Manage the overall HRP activity, acquisition, development and retention of key talent
- Ensure compliance with key business and management processes while driving a high performance culture
- Identify capability gaps and implement an organizational plan to support capability development.
- Develop a talent pipeline and manage succession planning.
Education and Experience
- 10+ years of commercial experience a Life Science sales environment, preferably within a global matrix organization
- 5+ years of experience in leading and developing a team
- Master's degree in business studies/management preferred and in depth knowledge and understanding of the med tech industry
- Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth as well as a proven track record to develop and execute a strategic plan
- High proficiency in utilizing key tools and platforms including Salesforce, Sales Enablement platforms, social networks, and MS Office tools
- Comfortable leading and managing change programs and contributing beyond own function scope of expertise
- Strong analytical and financial skills, using data for decision making
- Results oriented with an Entrepreneur mindset
- Strong influencing skills and the ability to navigate across a complex business environment and in a matrix organization
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and effective stress management
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
