About the Role:
Responsibilities - HSW
- Subject matter expert for Environment, Health & Safety and primary interface within defined geographic regions for both C&W and client representatives
- Adapt and standardize EHS agreed processes, plans and activities calendar to operate across the client account.
- Devise and implement an EHS audit program to monitor compliance against statutory regulations, reduce risk and improve performance against C&W EHS management systems and processes as well as client’s EHS expectations.
- Track, manage and implement corrective action plans on non-conformance related items as needed.
- Develop and deploy EHS training and awareness for site contacts.
- Implement safe working practices and procedures and maintain a high awareness of safety by training employees.
- Program manage the collection of EHS (energy, waste, water, PPEs, chemical, LTI, near miss and first aid) related data from across all sites and prepare monthly status reports
- Identify and drive EHS best practices, identified through audits, across all target locations.
- Support the implementation of client’s EHS management system within defined client region and C&W scope of operations.
- Monitor and record reportable incidents and accidents as well as provide support for accident investigations.
- Develop and manage EHS procedures to prepare for and respond to emergency situations involving occupational health and safety risks.
- Establishing effective working relationships with FM Operations teams and functional peers.
- Support governance and assurance in terms of health safety and security management in country.
- Support country partners in raising awareness and understanding of EHS in the wider business and market environment in which the Group operates.
- Provide support to country safety & security staff in the review of due diligence of new premises, layouts, fit-outs and other key safety & security related details of new projects before they are submitted to the Regional head for approval.
- Advise country safety & security staff and where applicable, senior Management on safety & security during emergencies and participate on the Country Crisis Management Team. Actively participate in the management of any emergencies that affect countries within the Country. Escalate to Region and Group Safety & Security as appropriate.
Responsibilities - Engineering
- Responsible for Critical Process Assurance across all managed sites.
- Responsible for implementation of Asset care and Maintenance Program in country.
- Complying to statutory regulations.
- Responsible for compliance to Data Centre SLAs and implementation of best practices.
- Responsible for management of risk in Critical Environment to assure business continuity through resilience robustness and maintenance strategies.
- Drive Synergy in teams, deliver the functional goals in country.
- Manage key supplier and client relationship in country.
- Drive energy and environmental programmes in country.
- Consistent reporting and tracking of utilities consumption.
- Drive operational efficiencies in the engineering and facilities operations.
- Drive reduction of carbon footprint
- Drive innovation to enhance the service delivery in country.
- Conduct periodic control reviews of the critical processes in country and drive corrective actions.
- Act as a focal point to respond to critical engineering failures which effect Business operations through timely submission of:
- Detailed fact-based technical incident reports
- Root cause analysis
- Respond promptly, effectively, and competently, taking such action/s as needed or necessary (within the assigned limits of delegated authority), to all identified risks, hazards, risk-events, impairments, incidents, and emergencies as may, from time-to-time, befall or impact the assigned portfolio.
- Manage the assigned team of direct and indirect reports including all aspects of employee engagement (within typical remit of a People Manager), performance management (including Goal Setting, Performance Review and, where required, Performance Improvement activities).
- Maintain a high-level of Employee Engagement with the assigned team of direct reports.
- From time-to-time, carry out other tasks, duties and responsibilities as may be needed, assigned, or instructed, within the reasonable requirements and needs of the business.
- Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
- Responsible in complying with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and directives related to facilities operations and work safety.
- Accountable in complying to Data Centre SLAs and implementation of best practices.
- Support in monitoring engineering systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client.
- Must be able to work effectively with other team members and safety conscious environment.
- Follow company and customer rules and guidelines.
- Ensuring safe work practices.
- Support in managing of risk in Critical Environment to assure business continuity through resilience robustness and maintenance strategies.
- Manage key supplier relationship in country.
- Raise Change request client systems and update maintenance and asset details in the CMMS (Famis360).
- Respond promptly, effectively, and competently, taking such action/s as needed or necessary (within the assigned limits of delegated authority), to all identified risks, hazards, risk-events, impairments, incidents, and emergencies as may, from time-to-time, befall or impact the assigned portfolio.
- From time-to-time, carry out other tasks, duties and responsibilities as may be needed, assigned, or instructed, within the reasonable requirements and needs of the business.
KEY STAKEHOLDERS
- Regional / Cluster and Country: Property, FM, BCP, H&S, Security, Legal, Compliance, Human Resources, CEO, Corporate Affairs and other stakeholders as required.
- Group: Property, FM, H&S, Security, Risk and other stakeholders as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Higher Level Qualification / Certification (such as Degree or Diploma) in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering, Building, or related/equivalent course of study or work experience.
- Integrated Facility Management experience for commercial offices particularly in equipment’s and engineering (mechanical, electrical and such) and a minimum of 8-10 years of experience of HSW management, or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of local industry safety regulations (has in-country required license/s).
- Knowledgeable in equipment’s such as genset, UPS, BMS, FDAS, etc Certification on Safety Training would be an advantage.
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required.
- Comfortable corresponding with executive level clients and interacting with individuals at all levels.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills and business level of English.
- Experience within a corporate environment is an added plus with strong stakeholder management.
- Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.
- Ability to perform work independently after being given specific instructions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets. May be required to travel outside between properties in varying weather conditions.
