We are seeking an experienced QA Team Lead to spearhead customer-oriented testing by designing and managing real-world simulation environments. This role requires expertise in network infrastructure, security integrations, storage solutions, and enterprise IT ecosystems to ensure our products work seamlessly in diverse customer deployments.

About the Engineering team:
The Claroty Engineering (R&D) Department is a group of talented engineers with specialties including BE, FE, DevOps, QA and automation, who come from a variety of backgrounds and organizations with strong experience and skills in software development and cybersecurity.
Our engineers use the most state-of-the-art technologies available to build our products – from Kafka to K8s, Spark and latest React/Angular, AWS lambdas & Argo workflows and many others – ensuring the fastest and highest-quality delivery to our customers.
We are solving some of the most complex technical challenges in the industry today – anything from OS-level in-depth activity, networking traffic analysis, big-data analysis, multi-tenancy architecture, and limited resource design and implementation to cope with high-performance requirements and sophisticated UX concepts.
Responsibilities
As a COST Team Leader, your impact will be:
- Team Leadership: Lead the QA and automation team by providing clear direction and mentorship and by fostering collaboration between the feature teams, the hardware lab, and the platform.
- Mentor and lead a team of QA engineers, fostering best practices in automation, infrastructure testing, and customer-centric validation.
- Design and implement customer-simulated test environments that accurately reflect real-world enterprise deployments, including:
- Network topologies (converged vs. Purdue)
- Security & IT integrations (Firewalls, NACs, CMDBs, Ticketing Systems, BMS, DHCP, etc.)
- Network protocols (SPAN, NetFlow, Active Monitoring)
- Ensure end-to-end testing for functionality, performance, reliability, stability, and compatibility across network, security, and storage domains.
- Performance: Verify that the platform operates reliably under both normal and stressful conditions, minimizing downtime and failures.
- Lead the development of robust QA lead, including manual, automated, and performance testing to validate both developer and user specifications.
- Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and manage QA activities across multiple projects and products, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with QA teams, development teams, product management, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, prioritize testing efforts, and achieve quality objectives effectively.
Requirements
What do you need to succeed in this role?
- At least 3 years of experience leading a QA team, fostering collaboration, and driving results.
- Demonstrated expertise in leading or working within COST teams or similar customer-focused testing environments.
- Proven ability to create and manage customer-simulated environments with real-world network designs, security components, and IT integrations.
- Strong expertise in networking, security, and storage testing, with hands-on experience in configuring enterprise infrastructure for QA purposes.
- Experience with network emulation tools (Anue, Finisar, NisT, Swiftest, NetM) for traffic simulation and performance testing.
- Deep understanding of performance testing and load validation using tools like FIO, IOrate, and other I/O benchmarking tools.
- Proficiency in automation & scripting – experience with Python, Bash, or similar for automating test cases and validation.
- Experience with virtualization & cloud technologies (VMware, Citrix, AWS, Windows/Linux environments).
- Excellent leadership, documentation, and communication skills – ability to mentor junior engineers, drive QA best practices, and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Strong technical knowledge of QA processes, testing strategies, and debugging techniques to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Knowledge of cloud networking & hybrid deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP) - Nice to have
