Costs Accounting Specialist – Senior USCA Lead will report to Costs USCA Supervisor and will be for responsible to support the cost accountant to realize standard cost of manufactured and purchased products/materials. Performing cost analysis and monthly reports. You should possess excellent analytical skills along with the ability to combine different data.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support mid-month and month-end closing activities, including identifying and resolving SLA errors, preprocessors, and variance reports.
• Participate in quarterly recosts, including understanding PPV drivers, working with technical teams on batch size changes, and resolving high variance items.
• Follow up daily and correct health checks.
• Confirm prices for margin hold on Mondays.
• Calculate overhead percentages on Thursdays.
• Elaborate on weekly batch variances and send important comments to SBU Cost Accountants.
• Understand PPV (Purchase Price Variance) and IPV (Invoice Price Variance) for WHSE.
• Copy monthly cost activity.
• Download Cost comparison files to ensure correct data.
• Participate actively in physical inventories (semester or annual).
• Complete annual re-cost.
• Elaborate on the calculation memory.
• Demonstrate professionalism in the workplace.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting, or Finance
• Proven experience in accounting department 1-2 years.
• English fluency, intermediate or above, written, and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact efficiently with both internal and external customers.
• Knowledge of accounting principles.
• Experience with MS Excel (ability to maintain complex spreadsheets)
• Ability to think critically.
• Commitment to ethical behavior with a willingness to adhere to all company policies and current financial legislation.
• Ability to analyze information and processes.
