About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced, collaborative, and results-oriented individual to join our 10X team as a Cost Accountant. The ideal candidate will have a strong general accounting background and experience in cost accounting. This individual will be a business partner to our financial planning & analysis, engineering, facility, and operations teams, and will manage the inventory accounting close process and interface with auditors for the annual and interim audits. 


What You Will Be Doing:

- Perform New Product Introduction (NPI) standard costing functions in the ERP.

- Collaborate cross-functionally with various business partners to resolve inventory standard costing issues related to missing or incorrect cost definition setup.

- Perform monthly and quarterly financial closing activities including journal entries and reconciliations.

- Explain monthly balance sheet fluctuations to ensure compliance with US GAAP and company policies.

- Provide standard cost revaluation impact analysis for Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).

- Perform Excess and Obsolete (E&O) analyses, including collaborating with Finance Ops and maintaining E&O roll-forward.

- Calculate monthly taxes for R&D use tax, sales tax for sales giveaways, etc.

- Analyze and adjust monthly warranty reserves.

- Analyze Work in Process (WIP) and make adjustments as needed.

- Perform standard cost updates and coordinate with business partners including foreign subsidiaries.

- Support monthly cycle count processes and annual physical inventory counts.

- Perform monthly review of intercompany trade accounts.

- Perform monthly analysis of deferred cost of goods sold (COGS), including reconciliation between Oracle and RevPro, and accrue for missing cost recognition.

- Perform Lower of Cost or Market analyses and prepare adjustments as necessary.


To Be Successful You Will Need:

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Accounting or Business.

- 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting.

- CPA or CPA candidate preferred.

- Experience working in ERP systems. Experience in Oracle is a strong plus.

- Proficiency in MS Office products - intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel.

- Excellent communication skills to interact with varying levels of management and professional staff.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities well and handle projects with extreme attention to detail.


Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in the life sciences or pharmaceutical/medical device manufacturing industry.

- Experience with internal controls including process control design, preparation of flowcharts & control matrices, documentation and testing of controls, and identification and reporting of control gaps.

- Experience with SOX compliance, internal or external audit.

- Professional certification such as CPA, CIA, or similar preferred.

Below is the U.S. base pay range for this full-time position. The actual base pay will depend on several factors unique to each candidate, including one’s skills, qualifications, experience, and location.  At 10x, base pay is also just one component of the Company’s total compensation package.  This role is also eligible for 10x’s equity grants, its comprehensive health and retirement benefit programs, and its annual bonus program or sales incentive program.   During the hiring process, your 10x recruiter can share the specific base pay range for your preferred location and more about the Company’s total compensation package.
