The Corporate Sales Manager – Japan will be responsible for identifying, approaching, structuring, closing high-value deals and maintaining the relationship with clients that align with ACT Group’s strategic objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of the sustainability landscape, a strong network of industry contacts, a proven track record of successful deal origination in carbon products, and Japanese B2B business practice . The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build lasting relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
- Deal Origination/Sales
- Work closely with the R&D to identify and originate new business opportunities that align with ACT Group’s strategic goals and market focus.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of high-quality deals across targeted markets.
- Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, potential risks.
- Client Relationship Management
- Build and nurture relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders to drive business development.
- Understand clients’ needs and propose tailored solutions that meet their objectives while aligning with ACT Group’s capabilities.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the deal lifecycle, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
- Deal Structuring and Negotiation
- Lead the structuring, negotiation, and execution of complex deals, ensuring they are commercially viable and strategically aligned with company goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including legal, finance, operations, and R&D, to ensure seamless deal execution.

- Stay informed about market developments, regulatory changes, and competitor activities that could impact the business.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management based on market analysis and industry trends.
- Contribute to the development of long-term business strategies and goals.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment of origination activities with overall business strategy and objectives.
- Help fostering a culture of collaboration and promote cross sale over countries and regions.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to support the company’s growth and innovation efforts.
- Sourcing/Origination
- Track and report on the performance of origination activities for global products, including deal pipeline, conversion rates, and revenue generation, while securing sourcing for local products by him/herself to respond to the client’s request .
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.
Your Expertise:
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in sustainability consulting, business development, deal origination, B2B sales or a related field, preferably within the sustainability or energy sector.
- Strong network of industry contacts and a deep understanding of the sustainability sector landscape.
- Proven track record of successfully originating and closing high-value deals in environmental product is preferred.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities and develop innovative solutions.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
- Sufficient English reading/writing skill and basic speaking skill is required.
