Job Description

Corporate Engineering Internship

Location: Hillsboro, TX            Type: Full Time Co-Op / Paid Intern                      Department: Plant Operations

**Must be local to the State of Texas**

WHEN YOU JOIN US, YOU WILL BE;

  • Assisting Corporate Reliability Engineers in developing and implementing the following Systems/Processes for IKO Plants in NA
    • DNA (Document Navigation Accelerator)
    • Maximo System
    • Maximo SOP’s, WI’s, Test Scripts and Training Videos
    • Standardization of MRO Items, Assets and PM’s
    • FMECA
    • Root Cause Analysis
    • Failure Codes
    • Precision Maintenance
    • Condition Based Maintenance
  • Accurately create Hyperlinks between large volumes of related PDF drawings and corresponding Service Request forms, Bill Of Materials, Manuals, etc., to accelerate time to find correct parts and create requests for work, etc.
  • Assist Reliability Engineers to perform data analysis, categorization of parts, parts usage rates, etc.
  • Review drawings and field labels on assets to build a cross reference with standardized asset names at other sites.
  • Work with the Plant Maintenance Supervisor, Reliability Engineer, Inventory Coordinator, Planners/ Scheduler, Mill Wrights, etc., to help drive the progress with the Top 5 Reliability initiatives
  • Perform Data collection and some analysis within Prodac (Downtime Tracking System) exported to Excel and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) with interpretation and trending of highly critical equipment with common repeating failure patterns at the plant
  • Supporting Reliability Engineer Data collection and standardization of Failure modes and the Preventive (PM) and Predictive (PdM) Maintenance tasks to maintain the assets
  • Document asset information that needs to be updated in the drawings
  • Recommend more efficient ways to sort through and categorize and standardize the above items
  • Work with Reliability Engineer to perform Spare Parts optimization that support the above Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) inspection tasks for the Highly Critical Assets
  • Assist Reliability Engineers with collecting evidence and data during Root Cause Analysis investigations
  • Develop and update CMMS SOP’s, WI’s, Test Scripts and Training Videos
  • Occasional travel to the different North American plants may be required

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE;

  • Junior, Senior, or Masters specializing in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent Engineering program.
  • Proficient in MS Excel (advanced functionality), MS Word, MS Power Point & Adobe Acrobat.
  • Able to read and interpret drawings, proficiency in AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Critical thinking skills, and high degree of organization are a must.
  • Must be able to stand and walk frequently.
  • Must be comfortable working at heights occasionally.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs unassisted.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Troubleshooting capability is a plus.
