Summary/Objective
The Corporate Paralegal will play a key role in supporting the legal and compliance functions of the company, with a focus on contract management, regulatory compliance, and legal operations. This position requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual who can manage a variety of legal and administrative tasks in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a corporate legal department—preferably in the life sciences or medical device industry—and will be comfortable interacting with internal stakeholders across departments, as well as external counsel and regulatory bodies. This role is instrumental in helping ensure the company’s legal and regulatory obligations are met while supporting the business in achieving its strategic goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Contract Management
- Draft, review, and manage contracts including NDAs, vendor agreements, consulting agreements, and distributor agreements.
- Maintain contract database and assist with contract lifecycle management.
- Track key contract dates, obligations, and renewal terms.
Legal Operations and Administrative Support
- Manage legal department workflows, including tracking legal requests and maintaining legal files and databases.
- Assist in implementing and improving legal department systems and processes.
- Coordinate with outside counsel, vendors, and internal stakeholders as needed.
Regulatory and Compliance Support
- Support compliance with FDA regulations, Sunshine Act, and other healthcare-related legal requirements.
- Assist in preparing and submitting regulatory filings and maintaining compliance documentation.
- Prepare and manage state licensure.
- Work with internal teams on tracking and reporting obligations.
Intellectual Property Support
- Provide support for patent and trademark filings in coordination with outside counsel.
- Maintain intellectual property records and support portfolio management.
Litigation and Investigations Support
- Organize and maintain litigation files and support internal investigations as needed.
- Assist in responding to discovery requests, and litigation holds.
Required Education and Experience
- In compliance with California Business and Professions Code, Sections 6450 through 6456.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- 2+ years of in-house corporate paralegal experience.
- 4+ years of paralegal experience.
- Life sciences, med-tech industry experience.
- California Certified Paralegal (CCP) designation.
Work Environment and Personal Protective Equipment
- This job operates primarily remotely, but will interact with all departments and functions of the business. Clear communication, prompt response and attention to detail are critical. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
- This role reports directly to the Vice President of Legal.
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to be independently mobile. The employee is also required to interact with a computer, and communicate with co-workers.
- This position may require occasional travel depending upon business needs.

$80,000 - $110,000
