Position Summary:
The Corporate Paralegal is a key member of the team supporting the Firm’s global Corporate Practice. This includes working directly with partners and associates to provide corporate legal assistant services across all corporate practice areas and all Firm offices.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Review and negotiate non-disclosure agreements (NDA)
- Review NDA’s negotiated by junior associates and provide guidance and feedback
- Maintain documentation of client NDA processes and procedures
- Create and maintain NDA and KM resources
- Proofread and edit NDA documents
Qualifications:
Education: College degree is required
Experience: 3+ years of M&A experience; expertise in reviewing and negotiating non-disclosure agreements (NDAs)
Skills and Abilities:
- Expertise in reviewing and negotiating non-disclosure agreements (NDA’s)
- Must be able to effectively work and communicate with all levels of partners, attorneys and staff
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with clients
- Proficiency with various software programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, use of the Internet
- Proficiency with online database management.
- Strong interpersonal skills is a must
- Effective written and verbal communication and strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments while working under pressure to meet important deadlines
- Must be detail-oriented; possess strong organizational skills, and a high degree of accuracy.
The actual salary offered will be based on a number of factors including but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
New York Salary Range
$75,000—$125,000 USD
