Role
As a Copy Editor at Octus you are responsible for covering editing needs for our technical, legal and market-based stories. You will provide support to editorial operations and staff writers as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Edit technical, transactional, legal and market-based stories for a growing subscriber base of sophisticated professionals
- Ensure real-time news coverage respects house style and remains the forefront of the financial news agenda
- Assist editors in directing editorial flow and prioritizing stories, and work on long-term special projects
- Write breaking news stories based on company announcements and third-party content
- Monitor domestic and foreign press for any key developments
- Help manage a calendar of companies, updating it as news happens
- Manage and monitor internal databases and contribute to project management processes
- Contribute to ongoing project databases
- Maintain ongoing connections with company investor relations and private equity firms
Requirements:
