NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Coordinator, Regional Social Content based in our Concord, North Carolina office.
The Coordinator, Regional Social Content is responsible for delivering social media value through strategy and content development and execution.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist in the ideation, development, management, and execution of content programs and campaigns designed to help the organization meet and exceed business goals and objectives.
- Provide strategic content support of NASCAR Regional’s social and digital channels.
- Execute content development by leveraging relevant tools (e.g. Adobe’s creative suite) and working with NASCAR Regional Video & Editorial, NASCAR Regional Series Operations, NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series tracks, National Series Content Teams, Creative Design, and Track Social teams.
- Create content for all league content channels, with an emphasis on the NASCAR Regional Social handle (NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series), and ARCA Menards Series handles.
- Develop relationships with the National Series Social teams to leverage new technologies, collaborate on content development, and maximize reach.
- Leverage social media analytics (in collaboration with Analytics & Insights team) and apply key learnings to content strategy.
- Maintain current knowledge of, conduct regular research on, and monitor other sites (both sport and non-sport) for latest online innovations and technology.
- Travel: up to 40% travel, including weekends (primarily day trips).
Required skills / experience:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four (4) year college or university and or a minimum of three (3) years of current experience in social media and content development; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient on all Company-provided hardware and software. Knowledge of social media content management and reporting platforms.
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop, After Effects and Premiere.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work a non-traditional work week, including nights and weekends.
- Knowledge of and experience with social media content management and reporting platforms.
- Proven track record of creative and innovative thinking, especially in the social space.
- Passion for digital and social media and using those disciplines to advance business goals.
- Experience working with sports and entertainment properties preferred.
- Experience working with video and design tools and software.
- Proficient knowledge of the NASCAR Regional Series and other grassroots racing series is preferred.
