Job Description:

Key responsibilities for the project controls engineer includes:

• Develops and monitors project schedules, ensuring that all project activities are planned and executed within the set timelines.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, and ensures that the project stays within the allocated budget, including cost estimation, cost control, and cost forecasting.
• Identify potential risks that could impact the project timeline or budget.
• Track the progress of the project against the schedule and budget and prepares regular progress reports for stakeholders.
• Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and budget, and ensures that all changes are documented and approved.
• Analyzes project data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, and preparing detailed reports for management.
• Prepare written communications with the client, considering potential contractual impacts.
• Prepare a record of events that may be grounds for claims with both the client and subcontractors.
• Assist the team contractually.

Job requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or something similar.
• At least 5 years of experience in construction large construction projects, preferably design and build projects.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
• Knowledge of scheduling in Primavera.
• Excellent Microsoft Excel and general IT skills
• Ability to deliver timely high-quality reports
• Good level of proactivity and a problem-solving attitude
• Good relationship skills with the other Department / Functions
• Good knowledge on measuring civil engineering works
