Job Description:
Key responsibilities for the project controls engineer includes:
- Develops and monitors project schedules, ensuring that all project activities are planned and executed within the set timelines.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, and ensures that the project stays within the allocated budget, including cost estimation, cost control, and cost forecasting.
- Identify potential risks that could impact the project timeline or budget.
- Track the progress of the project against the schedule and budget and prepares regular progress reports for stakeholders.
- Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and budget, and ensures that all changes are documented and approved.
- Analyzes project data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, and preparing detailed reports for management.
- Prepare written communications with the client, considering potential contractual impacts.
- Prepare a record of events that may be grounds for claims with both the client and subcontractors.
- Assist the team contractually.
Job requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or something similar.
- At least 5 years of experience in construction large construction projects, preferably design and build projects.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
- Knowledge of scheduling in Primavera.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel and general IT skills
- Ability to deliver timely high-quality reports
- Good level of proactivity and a problem-solving attitude
- Good relationship skills with the other Department / Functions
- Good knowledge on measuring civil engineering works
