Job Description

Mandatory Skills:


  1. Control-M administration experience as Level 3 level for complex infrastructure and environment.
  2. Creating/modifying of jobs using Control-M desktop, mass modification using XML extract, understanding control-M conditions/resources.
  3. Develop, test, and maintain JCL scripts for batch processing jobs across various mainframe and distributed environments.
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve JCL-related issues, ensuring timely execution of batch jobs.
  5. Having experience working on Microfocus Enterprise Server and maintenance of Mainframe Jobs.
  6. Control-M and Microfocus Enterprise Server utilities understanding and its usages.
  7. Expected to have worked in cloud environments, working knowledge of AWS services would be a plus.
  8. Installation of agents and its configurations and maintaining housekeeping jobs.
  9. Highlight areas for improvement in current processes and implement improvements.
  10. Sound knowledge on EM, Server and agents and is system parameters.
  11. Ability to schedule jobs, monitor and correct the issues related to backups, applications, file transfers, etc.
  12. Handled Priority 1 and critical issues related to Control-M.
  13. Ability to plan, maintain, upgrade, and patch the Control-M environment and suggest recommendation for value addition.
  14. Document technical solutions and build SOPs for the monitoring team.
  15. Knowledge on Linux, Unix and Windows environment is mandatory.
  16. Configure and optimize job workflows to enhance performance and reliability.
  17. Rich exposure in automation & programming through UNIX shell scripting, Python or any other scripting language is added advantage
  18. Understanding of DevOps framework and experience in integrated teams.


Professional Skills:

  1. Should have Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; helps contribute to timely completion of project deliverables well short of schedule
  2. Analytical skill to understand user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing job flows and schedules systems
  3. Understanding of Agile and ITIL processes.


Certifications:

  1. BMC Control M Admin
  2. Microfocus Certification (Optional)


Total Experience Expected: 08-10 years
