The Role
In this Office Coordinator role, you will support the Crypto Startup Accelerator (CSX) team’s program office space. Daily responsibilities include overseeing the administration of the office space, coordinating in-office events, interfacing with guests, and vendor management. You will work closely with the CSX team on the CSX spring program which will be held from April - June 2025. This position will be a short-term 4-month contract based in our San Francisco office and will require in-office presence 5 days a week.
You must possess excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, be an outstanding multitasker, and have superb organizational skills. You will be successful in this role if you have a willingness to jump into tasks such as assisting with seminars and meetings, as well as troubleshooting large projects or issues with the central office managers, while ensuring a positive experience for guests and employees.
We are looking for someone with strong experience working with executive teams in fast-paced environments, and the ability to collaborate with our events and facilities team to create an exceptional office experience for our employees, portfolio companies, and other key partners.
To join our team, you should be excited to:
- Serve as the first point of access for the space for all guests (internal & external); Promptly assist in a visitor’s arrival, as well as inform a16z employees when a visitor arrives. Utilize a16z’s preferred method of communication; such as Slack, GChat or Envoy, to relay the guest’s details
- Manage office occupancy and room reservation calendar, prioritizing appropriately and using good judgment in offering solutions to complex scheduling and meeting planning needs
- Manage all access and badging for the CSX office space; communicate with building security as needed to do so
- Serve as the key point of contact internally to make sure all AV, IT, Printers, equipment and supplies are in good working order; immediately address any issues that come up with key leads
- Liaise with our cleaning vendor to ensure the space looks presentable at all times by wiping down the kitchen area, keeping chairs tucked in, monitoring bathrooms, garbage pick up and anything else that keeps the space in tip top shape
- Liaise with our snack vendor about snack/beverage inventory and place new orders accordingly
- Receive catering deliveries and set them up for the times designated by the CSX team; arrange surprise snacks and celebration moments as needed
- Supervise clean up after meals; make sure dishes are loaded, washed and put away
- Keep inventory of IT and office supplies, placing orders and requesting equipment as needed
- Be a customer service oriented individual by helping fellow coworkers and guests with any questions and requests (including wifi access, building access, conference room access, etc.)
- Ensure all first aid supplies are in good working order, including AED units, and notify our First Aid vendor if there are any issues or needs
- Be a problem solver! This is a key support role that will help drive the success of CSX SF; be willing to perform additional tasks as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required, college degree in business administration preferred
- 2+ years of experience in office services, program management or customer service
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Sheets, Docs, Slides) and working knowledge of office equipment (AV, printers, etc)
- Understanding of video conferencing systems, specifically Zoom, and its features
- Have an unparalleled “can-do” attitude
- Punctual with strong attendance history
- Ability to juggle multiple competing items and prioritize accordingly
- Be service-oriented and pay exceptional attention to detail
- Have strong interpersonal and communication skills and be a team player

The anticipated hourly rate for this role is $40.00 - $45.00 actual starting pay may vary based on a range of factors which can include experience, skills, and scope.
