Job Summary:
The CI/QA Manager will oversee the activity of the quality assurance department, continuous improvement projects and the department staff. Will develop, implement, and maintain systems of quality and reliability testing for the organization's products and/or development processes.
Responsibilities:
- Develops, implements, and manages processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery.
- Identifies and sets appropriate quality standards and parameters for products.
- Communicates quality standards and parameters to QA team, product development team, and other appropriate staff.
- Uses a range of tools and methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and Visual Management to drive process improvements.
- Trains, develops, and encourages a culture of continuous improvement activities and presents progress to senior management.
- Coordinates product testing processes and leads cross-functional project teams to identify root causes.
- Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of product improvement and testing activities. Performs corrective actions when necessary.
- Identifies and analyzes issues, nonconformances, defects, and other problems, particularly when problems recur in multiple products; recommends and facilitates solutions to these issues.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or another related field.
- Three to five years of experience in related field required with supervisory experience.
- Certification in Lean Six-Sigma (Green or Black Belt Preferred).
- Experience in project management.

- Proven experience in continuous improvement role, preferably in manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of Lean methodologies.
- Strong Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
- Frequent walking, standing, squatting and stretching.
