The Content Writer is responsible for developing high-quality copy and content for marketing materials, websites, social media, and other platforms. This role requires a deep understanding of digital content, B2B thought-leadership, SEO best practices, and persona-centered storytelling. They will craft various content types — long-form and short-form — that promote our brand and products. They will research industry topics and trends, optimize content for various channels, revise and edit pieces, and collaborate with subject matter experts and other marketers to ensure message consistency. Additionally, they will learn all about and make significant contributions to the company’s brand and style guide to efficiently maximize the impact of content they generate. Ideal candidates will be creative, strategic, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Write quality copy that connects with target audiences, boosts engagement, and enhances brand awareness.
- Create content that promotes our products and solutions through blog posts, eBooks, case studies, video scripts, social media, email, and more.
- Complete writing assignments within project specifications and deadlines.
- Conduct in-depth research and interviews with subject matter experts, synthesizing impactful takeaways with accuracy.
- Work with stakeholders to understand project goals, gather feedback, and incorporate revisions to achieve the desired creative vision.
- Stay current on marketing and general industry trends to augment content development.
- Partner with Sr. Content Strategist to generate content ideas based on current events and market trends.
- Collaborate with marketing team to ensure alignment and consistency in brand voice, style, and messaging.
- Proofread and edit all content before publication.
Successful candidates will have the following qualifications:
- 3-5 years of proven experience as a content creator or copywriter in a corporate or agency setting.
- Previous experience working with food and beverage/CPG brands in a marketing capacity.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including in-depth knowledge of AP style.
- Experience using Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, and content management systems like WordPress or HubSpot.
- Ability to storyboard and create basic digital assets using template designs in Canva is a plus.
- Effectively collaborate with other teams and receive and give feedback in a constructive manner.
- Proficiency with interviewing, web-based research, and SEO best practices.
- Familiarity with generative AI technologies and how to leverage them for content creation.
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
- Portfolio of relevant writing samples.
