Job Description: CONTENT MANAGER – Historical Prices

The Content Manager will support operational, quality and production aspects of FactSet Global Pricing including “Fast File” production management. Follow up production delays and quality issues including tracking metrics and liaising with other teams to ensure appropriate investigations are carried out. Active involvement in projects to improve data quality, production processes and procedures.
While data is primarily focused on exchange pricing there is overlap with related datasets such as Corporate Actions (e.g. Splits, Spinoffs, and Dividends), exchange holidays and non-standard trading days. The role involves liaising with engineering teams both as part of production support and investigation and when undertaking project work.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operational Responsibilities
- Support operational, quality and production aspects of FactSet Global Pricing including daily file production oversight and management.
- Liaising with the Real Time and End of Day pricing teams in Manila and Hyderabad
- Follow up production delays and quality issues including tracking metrics and proactively following up and liaising with other teams to ensure appropriate investigations are carried out.
- Project Leadership and involvement
- New Content development – Spec’ing new third party and FDS proprietary content, directing engineering, and integrating content into the workstation
- Active planning, involvement, oversight and direction of data development projects including adding new content on the Workstation and Feeds
- Identification of, and active involvement in projects to improve data quality, production processes and procedures.
- Testing application, FQL, API and data changes and additions
- Supporting the assessment and prioritization of data, quality and functional related projects
- Content Expert:
- Updating content and troubleshooting documentation, and writing procedural specs for operations
- Taking the lead in ensuring Market Data Content Products continue to be available 24/7
- Accountable for end-to-end process and its performance for one or multiple functions/regions
- Using knowledge of associated data sets and their interaction with pricing to liaise with teams such as symbology and corporate actions
- Where necessary taking ownership of escalated FactSet Global Pricing related client challenges and ensuring a comprehensive response.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Reduce operational burden on developers through the identification of practices and procedures which transfer operational tasks from developers to the Content and/or Data Operational teams including clear documentation
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to understand the changing business needs and develop strategies to best meet those need.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Project Management skills
- Financial knowledge and business acumen (FactSet product knowledge) To understand the business and working tools
- In-depth product and/or data expertise and proven ability to deliver high quality work integral to the function/process in question
- Exhibited expertise to help position content enhancements into key workflows
- Knowledge and writing skills to be able to produce non-technical requirement documents, with expected outcomes, for the engineering team to be able to define the technical side of projects and work requests
- Ability to communicate with, and influence the activities of, a diverse range of stakeholders while having no direct people management responsibilities
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate the product/project requirements and troubleshoot system errors
- Innovative and Self-driven skills to work independently
