The opportunity

Do you have a passion for working with people, curating compelling content, and highlighting innovations in the software development lifecycle? Love learning about technology at a deep technical level and working with authors and other subject-matter experts to help share their knowledge with others?

TechnologyAdvice is looking for an editor to join our growing team! In this role, you’ll work with our team on site content, publications, and community initiatives with the goal of publishing high-quality, relevant content that will resonate with our thriving developer community. You will help prepare articles for publication, assist in coordinating authors and reviewers, work directly with contributors to help improve their articles, and assist in the execution of our top-level strategies.

We focus on delivering high quality technical content covering all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), a basic understanding of the software development topics, languages, and best practices such as Java, DevOps, Kubernetes, AI, and Web Development technologies is a plus.

Working Hours: 9pm to 6am PHT (APR-OCT) or 10pm to 7am PHT (NOV-MAR)


What you'll do

  • Select, copyedit, and prepare articles and premium content for publication on the web.
  • Work directly with our contributors to help improve their articles - both from a writing and topical perspective.
  • Monitor our support and editors inboxes, answer inquiries, delete spam, and escalate issues to appropriate departments.
  • Work with appropriate stakeholders to suggest articles and publications to be featured in various newsletters.
  • Update the site pages daily with fresh content and build relationships with contributors. 
  • Work with appropriate stakeholders to recommend contributors for community programs and premium product authorship.
  • Manage site promotions and feature premium content in relevant site content placements.
  • Assist with other team projects and initiatives as needed.

Who you are

  • Passion for quality content, with strong copyediting, proofreading, and web research skills; and a strong familiarity with American English spelling conventions and ability to express complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence in engaging with experienced software professionals.
  • Highly organized multitasker with excellent time management and regular progress communication.
  • Team player who quickly adapts and collaborates effectively.
  • Ability to meet high-stakes deadlines while continuously learning.
  • Basic HTML knowledge is a plus.
  • 1+ years of editing experience for web or publishing channels; degree in English, Communication, Writing, or Publishing preferred.
  • Must have a working laptop/pc and internet and back-up connection.
  • Agile professional who excels in a fast-paced environment and thrives on continuously pivoting strategies to drive business needs forward.

Salary Range
We seek to hire top-tier individuals and intend for our compensation to be at a rate that allows us to recruit and retain individuals who align with our core values, purpose, mission, and vision. Final total compensation is based on a multitude of factors including, but not limited to, skill level, relevant experience to the position, and cost of labor.

Monthly Pay Range

₱45,000₱70,000 PHP
