The Team
The Web Content team plays a pivotal role within SEEK’s Content and Creative Studio, managing the editorial direction, content strategy, publishing, and overall content management for SEEK and JobStreet’s Career Advice and Hiring Advice websites across Australia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, and New Zealand. It ensures published content engages employers and job seekers across diverse regions while maintaining a unique brand voice. By collaborating with local marketing, Product, Design, and SEO teams, the team consistently delivers impactful results and exceeds performance objectives.
Job Description
You will develop and deliver high-quality English editorial for job seekers and employers across our APAC platforms. Your work will drive engagement, improve search rankings, and enhance the overall user experience.
You will collaborate with cross-functional collaborators to craft content strategies that deliver results. The ideal candidate has a strong balance of creativity and data-driven decision-making, with proven experience crafting engaging editorial, excellent writing and editing skills, and SEO expertise.
- Content Creation: Craft supportive and encouraging editorial, ensuring alignment with our brand tone and content strategy.
- Editorial: Edit and provide feedback to freelancers and vendors, ensuring all editorial adheres to quality standards.
- SEO Optimization: Partner with SEO and Product teams to ensure all work is optimized for search engines through keyword research, on-page SEO techniques, and user intent analysis.
- Content Updates: Edit and refresh existing content to maintain accuracy, relevance, and SEO performance.
- Performance Analysis: Apply tools like Google Search Console and Ahrefs to analyze web content performance and implement data-driven improvements.
- Project Management: Lead all aspects of editorial schedules from conceptualization to publishing, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work.
- Innovation: Explore and lead the use of new AI tools in content creation to improve efficiency and output.
- Trend Monitoring: Stay up to date on hiring and career trends, as well as the latest SEO algorithm updates, ensuring content strategies stay effective and relevant.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Advertising, Media Studies, Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or related fields.
- 2–5 years in editorial or content creation roles with proven understanding of SEO standard processes.
- Experience in editorial/writing roles for B2B and/or B2C audiences in APAC markets.
- Familiarity with managing freelance writers and/or content vendors.
- Good knowledge of SEO tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, and CMS platforms.
- Good understanding of H-tags, keyword optimization, and competitor analysis.
- Native-level written and spoken proficiency in English.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading abilities.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.

- Highly collaborative and love working and learning with a diverse group.
Other Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Some experience as copywriter in advertising or marketing environments.
- Some familiarity and understanding of Gen AI content production tools
- Proficiency in a second language from our APAC markets a big advantage.
- Prior work experience at news desk or business journalism.
