Job Description
Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) is a global team of consultants, data scientists, and subject matter experts that drives tangible, impactful and financial results for Visa’s clients, including both financial institutions and merchants. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, payments, data analytics, marketing, operational and macroeconomics, VCA drives high impact projects and tangible financial results. VCA engages clients throughout Europe and is organized in teams in South Europe, UK & Ireland, Nordics & Baltics, Central Eastern Europe, Central Europe, and France Belgium & Luxemburg.
What’s it about?
The Visa Consulting & Analytics Director will undertake consulting engagements for Visa clients in Netherlands, enabling portfolio growth and improved profitability in clients’ payment business. Potential projects could include portfolio management diagnostics, assessments of digital product and marketing strategies, development of industry landscape evaluations and best practices, and optimizing client customer experience and supporting processes. Collaborating with other team members in VCA and Visa Europe, the Consulting Director will draw on their deep domain knowledge and expertise to provide recommendations to clients, work that will enable enduring, strategic relationships with our clients.
What we expect of you, day to day.

Be responsible for the planning and delivery of the Visa Consulting and Analytics Dutch market revenue and margin objectives.

Lead the Dutch VCA team responsible for the sale and delivery of consultancy engagements ensuring that they:

Are completed within agreed budgets and timeframes.

Follow appropriate Visa Europe consulting methodologies and techniques, and
-
Meet client expectations, resulting in high client satisfaction.

Liaise with other parts of the Visa Europe business (e.g. the Sales team) acting as ‘connective tissue’ across the broader organisation to ensure the Consulting team has access to the right resources and capabilities to meet requirements and effectively deliver consulting projects.

Act as a key team-leader in the overall VCA Central Europe team.

Act as a ‘trusted advisor’ in strategic matters to senior management and C-suite executives amongst our key clients.

Proactively engage with and work closely with the Account Executive Teams in Issuing and Acquiring across the Dutch business to identify and support key client opportunities.

Identify and surface opportunities for client projects and submit for inclusion into Annual Operating Plans of Visa Consulting and Analytics in the Netherlands.

Bring deep subject matter expertise to bear in undertaking engagements such as portfolio strategy, portfolio diagnostics, activation and usage, value proposition development, digital strategy, etc.

Design performance solutions to client requirements, striving for innovative and efficient design thinking approaches.

Keep the relationship with other internal functional areas for Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) Netherlands, ensuring alignment of opportunities and recommendations particularly with product functionality and availability.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
We'd like you to have:
- Senior level of experience in the Dutch retail banking and payment card industry
- Senior level of experience in strategy or management consulting, with proven project deliveries and expertise in consulting methodologies
- Solid and relevant academic record (e.g. MBA)
- Experienced Business Development practices and processes
- Project experience in a digital and technology-driven environment
- Technology, Digitally-savvy and with an understanding of consumer economics and behaviour
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Proven influencing, selling and negotiation skills
- High intellectual capability evidenced by strong analytical skills
- Strong client sales and project/programme delivery track record, ideally in a banking environment
- Ability to work independently
- Fluency in Dutch and English
- Ability to partner and collaborate closely with other parts of the business (Product, Marketing, Account teams, etc.) as well as external partners in the shaping, pursuit and delivery of strategic opportunities for Visa
- Strong sales orientation, experience in selling major projects and ideas to senior management
- Commercial mindset, ability to size, scope and price consulting opportunities and negotiate with clients and AEs to arrive at fair value outcomes
- Ability to liaise credibly with senior and C-level stakeholders
