About this role:
The Consulting Business Analyst (BA) role is responsible for analyzing and managing variables impacting consulting revenues and cash flow. A BA associate partners directly with regional sales associates and engagement managers to model engagement financials, identify trends, and recommend solutions to enable sales effectiveness. Our goal is to increase our analytical capabilities and drive actionable insight against our business priorities. BA associates are the protectors of revenue and cash flow for the Consulting business.
What you will do:

Act as a strategic partner to our senior leaders, inclusive of dedicated relationships with delivery teams supporting our largest (“anchor”) accounts. Be a conduit to the wider enterprise and Ops ecosystem including the sourcing of insights and data from Analytics, Legal, Ethics & Compliance, Contracts, Finance, etc.

Become a subject matter expert across our software, tools, reports and dashboards. Provide training and support to ensure field associates understand and adhere to best practices.

Provide proactive, timely, and actionable analytics with a focus on improving sales productivity. Highlight trends, anticipate revenue disruptors, and take critical actions with key booking windows.

Design, develop, and support various daily, weekly, monthly reporting needs. Partner with members of the analytics team, identify opportunities for automation, and test end-user adoption of mission critical processes.

Manage month and quarter end processes ensuring all business is transacted and accurate.

Communicate sales processes, operational updates, and best practices across regional and/or geographic teams. Play an active role in presenting key findings during Ops reviews and senior leadership team meetings.

Enhance our capability to analyze and distill large data sets, presenting findings in a visually appealing manner that tells a data-driven story to drive business decisions. Address audiences varying from field Sales associates to operating committee executives.

Support all revenue related activities, both reactively and proactively, by working directly with field associates.
Specific tasks include:

Track and mitigate daily variances in engagement costs and margin gaps.

Ensure Regional ops reviews include data required for the Geo lead to have accurate KPIs, trending analysis, and root cause insights to make business decisions.

Project Management – high level support to ensure revenue is protected and that forecasts are accurate.

Account/Engagement Management – partner with delivery teams to model engagement costs, forecast revenue flow, and accelerate revenue whenever possible

Providing data to leaders by working with the analytics team or directing them to the correct dashboards in PowerBI
What you will need:

Bachelor’s degree is required; Masters or advanced degree a plus

4+ years of working experience, preferable working in data analytics and visualization, business intelligence, and/or analytical consulting.

Experience managing a portfolio of clients and interpreting client data to inform account strategy is a plus.

Exceptional Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Experience and aptitude to work with different data sources with strong analytical skills and experience.

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize and meet hard deadlines.

Ability to work independently and with little direction, a self-starter who can anticipate challenges and maintain month-over-month continuous improvements.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 70,000 USD - 97,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
