Detailed Description
The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for supporting our sales organization through the processing of purchase orders being submitted. This individual will be deeply involved in evaluating the availability of materials, handling price information and ensuring that the right quality is obtained.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Create Sales Orders based on customer PO
- Review pricing/lead times and purchase equipment from various vendors (Cisco is most importance vendor for experience)
- Order Management: resolving pricing issues, following up on orders, expedites to meet deadlines
- Customer service: providing ETA’s to customer, resolve logistics issues, process RMA’s
- Constantly making an effort to contribute improvement to all processes and procedures so as to achieve better results for overall company objectives
Additional Duties:
- Working with Account Managers and Customers to meet deadlines
- Communicating with Inside Sales about order status
- Accurately enter and update all product information into NAV for assigned categories
- Work with vendors to manage and resolve all purchase order issues including timelines, pricing disputes, quantity requirements and shipping methods
- Experience in procurement.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel Knowledge
- Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent listening skills.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
- Able to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures.
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and work ethic.
- University or college degree in Computer Science, Marketing, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
- 2 to 3 years of direct work experience in a sales, purchasing or telesales capacity.
