Overview / Position Summary:
The Solutions Consultant works as part of a team to deliver high quality solutions to clients, taking the lead on requirements management and design for software configuration. You'll be closely involved in ensuring quality underpins all that we do, through supporting other teams and ensuring standards are upheld through all phases of the Client Delivery Lifecycle.
The focus of this Consultant role will be taking the client specific requirements and converting these into fully detailed User Stories to be provided to the Configuration Engineer for delivery of the solution. The role will include working closely with the client to ensure the design for the solution is fully understood and within the boundaries of the solution capability. There will be a strong link with the work of Pre-Sales & Solutions Teams.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Working with internal and external customers across relevant stages of the delivery lifecycle, supporting business development and client opportunities from pre-sales through to the transition of a solution into a production environment.
2. Consulting with clients on how our solutions can best meet their business needs, validating requirements and translating these into design documents and user stories.
3. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders through effective communication.
4. Ability to translate technical and functional requirements and collaborate with technical counterparts.
5. Can explain technical concepts in layman's terms to a non-technical audience.
6. Contribute to estimates and impact assessments for small changes as well as larger deliveries.
7. Strong problem solving skills and ability to act decisively in fast paced, frequently changing environment.
8. Proactively seek and highlight project and product risks, providing input on how to mitigate risk.
9. Demonstrating and providing detailed expertise in our solutions which enable access to and consumption of our data and be able to present, demonstrate and communicate the services to internal and external clients effectively to showcase the business benefit.
10. Support the solution build and configuration by ensuring clear articulation of design documentation and business requirements, and guiding technical and non-technical decisions through understanding of business needs.
11. Support internal and external test phases, working with test teams to ensure test coverage is thorough, and that test cases have traceability to business requirements.
12. Prepare, lead and facilitate client meetings, including design workshops, solution training, progress updates and UAT support calls.
13. Responsibility for ensuring the design authority direction is adhered to in the Delivery phase and for overseeing the configuration against the User Stories developed, ensuring they meet the definition of done.
14. Be recognised by internal and external customers as being both customer centric and solutions oriented; bring tangible value in terms of industry and functional experience and knowledge.
15. Support post-sales with recommendations to aid recurring revenue streams from existing clients.
16. Ability to create compelling use cases and customer tailored journeys to illustrate how our data and solutions can help a client achieve their business objectives and strategies.
17. Assist as required in preparation of RFI, RFPs and also support the provision of the technical and solution elements and responses for bids and proposals.
Essential Experience and Skills:
18. Bachelors degree with 7+ years of equivalent relevant work experience, preferably in the Financial Services industry
19. Inquisitive nature - uses own initiative to find and propose creative solutions to problems.
20. Able to work towards deadlines within the project governance model applicable to the work being done.
21. Great communication and collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders.
22. Requires minimal supervision and mentors less experienced members of the team.
23. Understanding of the Financial Industry and / or Software delivery from both a sales and client / Industry perspective.
24. Expertise in data enablement and Decisioning solutions.
25. A good understanding of sector business processes and application of our data across the lifecycle.
