What You’ll Do
- Communicate confidently with conference organizers to assess audience quality and event value, asking thoughtful questions that uncover critical details others overlook.
- Lead data-driven decisions with stakeholders, aligning strategy to maximize ROI.
- Execute flawless logistics – registrations, booths, hotels, and shipping
- Anticipate problems before they happen and pivot immediately when they do.
- Drive clear communication that eliminates surprises and establishes accountability.
- Create systems that turn routine events into precision marketing opportunities.
- Build powerful relationships with organizers and vendors that position Apptegy as their most valued partner.
Who You Are
- Proven operational expertise through a four-year degree or equivalent intensive experience in the high-pressure environments of logistics, event management, or operations.
- Thrives under pressure with demonstrated ability to maintain strategic clarity while simultaneously orchestrating multiple complex operations—each with competing deadlines and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to quickly master new technologies and leverage them to create operational efficiencies that set you apart from others.
- Microscopic attention to detail, enabling you to catch critical nuances that others might overlook and develop fail-safe systems to minimize human error.
- Communication as a strategic asset—proactively delivering intelligence, making decisive recommendations, and ensuring alignment without wasting time on unnecessary meetings or endless email chains.
- Highly self-motivated and proactive, capable of creating your own operational framework, independently setting priorities, and pushing initiatives forward while navigating challenges.
- Exceptional problem-solving instincts that kick into overdrive when crises emerge—quickly assessing situations, implementing solutions, recalibrating plans, and maintaining momentum while others are still processing what went wrong.
What Helps You Stand Out
- Experience managing logistics or operations for K12 events, conferences, or trade shows
- Familiarity with CRM tools (like Salesforce) or project management platforms (like Airtable or Jira)
- A knack for negotiation or vendor management—you know how to get the best deal and build great relationships
- Previous work in a client-facing or external communication-heavy role
- Exceptional proficiency in spreadsheet management, with a portfolio of meticulously organized documents that reflect a high level of attention to detail and technical expertise.
