The Defense Group in Leidos is seeking a Compute and Virtualization Operations Manager who will support an extensive digital modernization program critical to DISA and Fourth Estate Agencies.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Must hold an active Secret clearance prior to start. (US Citizenship required)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee the management and supervision of a minimum of ~10 personnel.

Interface between the customer and DISA leadership and provide input into the management activities.

Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all areas of the organization, groups and personnel.

Manage server systems engineering resources supporting sustainment and agile teams to ensure system application requirements and user stories are ready for implementation.

Manage resources to support software systems development, including documenting system application requirements, system interfaces, and data sources.

Manage resources for refining customer roadmaps and strategic requirements into detailed requirements and actionable user stories to be delivered by the entire team.

Coordinate with the Operations Lead, Ops functional team, and the government representatives to prioritize user stories that realize customer requirements.

Implement flexible cross training to provide systems engineering, software development, training, security, and testing.

Create presentations and briefing status to key stakeholders.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of prior relevant experience; additional years of experience could be considered in lieu of a degree.

Proven experience managing server systems engineering resources supporting sustainment and agile teams.

Possess and apply expertise on multiple complex work assignments. Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.

Ability to operate with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems.

Ability to contribute to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.

Familiarity with Virtualization, Storage, backup software, data center, active directory/group policy, etc.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of effectively developing IT operations best practices.

System administration and IT certifications in datacenter applications or server related fields.

Pay Range:Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
