The Opportunity That Awaits You:         

At PROCEPT BioRobotics you will have an opportunity to contribute and greatly support our continuous improvement philosophy by being part of our Research and development (R&D) team. This position has a unique impact on expanding the capabilities of our devices. You will work with cross-functional teams to maintain and improve the system within the requirements of FDA's Quality System Regulation (QSR), ISO 13485 (ISO) and EU MDR. Being detail and solution oriented, proactive, and self-managed will assist in the success of this position.

What Your Day-To-Day Will Involve:

• Collaborate with our CFD expert/s to understand the current state of our CFD modeling capabilities.
• Conduct literature reviews on desired fluid dynamics related aspects of our technology.
• Working on pre-processing, executing and post-processing of the existing and newly developed CFD models.
• Supporting the experimental validation effort of the CFD models and methodologies.
• Occasional presentation as well as documentation of all research, experiments, and findings in clear and detailed reports.

The Qualifications We Need You to Possess

• Ph.D. and/or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant fields with the focus on Fluid Mechanics.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the first principals of Fluid Dynamics, Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer.
• Strong analytical (1D modeling) and problem-solving skills (simplifying complex problems), with the ability to think critically about produced CFD results and determining next steps.
• Expertise with at least one or multiple CFD solvers (e.g. ANSYS-FLUENT, OpenFoam, STAR-CCM+ and etc.). 
• Experience with turbulent flows theories and modeling beyond Steady State RANS (e.g. URANS, LES, SRS, Cavitation and etc.). 
• Proficiency in all three phases of CFD modeling (i.e. CAD model preparation, Meshing, Running Simulation and detail Post-Processing).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

For this role, the anticipated base pay range is $45-$50 per hour

PAY RANGE TRANSPARENCY

Procept is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role represents a base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Procept utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

We’ll provide you training for, and ask you to maintain trained status for, and comply with, all relevant aspects of the PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality Management System to ensure product and support regulatory compliance. We would also ask you to understand and adhere to the PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality & EHS policies.
