Job Description
Your mission during this flight:
As Electromagnetic Compatibility Compliance Verification Engineer you will be the liaison between Office of Airworthiness and the Engineering Teams for all EMI / HIRF issues on the aircraft level and the individual equipment level (RTCA/DO-160) Environmental Qualification.
You will be part of the complete certification process necessary for electromagnetic compatibility demonstration, from requirement validation & verification and certification plan drafting to planning and participating in testing campaigns at different levels.
This includes the following tasks:
- You will coordinate with the different stakeholders, including EASA, to define, justify, and technically negotiate requirements and action plans.
- You will generate and change the Environmental Conditions Specification and Certification Plan.
- You will generate and change the HIRF Safety Assessment.
- You will participate in the EMI and HIRF System and Aircraft level tests (preparation, set-up, and plan).
- You will conduct design/qualification documentation reviews.
- You will conduct test witnessing.
- You will anticipate and mitigate potential electromagnetic compatibility-related risks at the equipment, system, and aircraft level.
Qualifications
Check in your professional skills:
- Engineering degree in aeronautical science or equivalent education.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience as elan ectromagnetic environment compliance expert with good knowledge and use of RTCA DO-160 test methods and corresponding EASA regulations for EMC certification.
- Wide experience in electrical and electromagnetic tests from RTCA DO-160.
- Thorough knowledge of the applicable electromagnetic requirements to Type Certification of civil aircraft.
- Good knowledge of the EASA regulatory environment and EASA practices.
- Previous involvement in Type Certification Processes.
- Ability and willingness to travel.
- Excellent command of English language.
- Team player with strong communication skills.
