About the role:
The Compliance Manager will be responsible for supporting complex, compliance-related investigations around the globe, evaluating conflict of interest disclosures, and shaping the Ethics program to ensure our corporate practices align with the highest ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
About the team:
The FIS Ethics Office is part of the Global Legal Team. Under the tagline “Shine Bright, Do What’s Right,” the Ethics Office mission is to inspire, support and educate employees to Lead with Integrity. We work together on internal investigations, conflict of interest management, and the development of robust ethics programs and training to support our corporate values.
What you will be doing:
- Conduct investigations into allegations of white-collar misconduct (e.g., bribery, fraud, embezzlement, etc.)
- Lead all aspects of the investigation lifecycle, including intake, employee interviews, investigation report, presentation of findings, and remediation
- Collaborate cross-functionally across Legal, Compliance, Internal Audit, The People Office, and other departments to support compliance efforts
- Maintain case metrics, analyze case trends, and prepare quarterly reports for Executive leadership
- Monitors relevant whistleblowing laws, regulations, and best practices
- Evaluate and address conflicts of interest, implementing processes to mitigate associated risks
- Builds and refines our corporate ethics program, including designing education and training initiatives and updating policies as needed
What you will need:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or law or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience. Typically requires 2-4 years of related experience to the role.
• Communicates ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise, and professional manner
• Comprehensive knowledge of at least one substantive area of compliance, such as banking regulations, anti-money laundering, or anti-corruption
• Excellent analytical skills
• Ability to understand technical documents and legal or regulatory reference materials
• Ability to understand and apply learned concepts
• Demonstrated ability to plan and complete work within tight time limitations
• Ability to apply creative problem solving techniques and tools to compliance issues
• Ability to follow and conduct a compliance monitoring program
• Ability to provide information to a variety of audiences and deal effectively with confidential issues that are sensitive in nature
• Ability to share information with awareness of its effect on others
