Overview of Role
Purpose is to locate current resources in other more strategic location where Advisory compliance is not present yet such as Singapore. Supporting the Senior Advisory Compliance team member in charge of Business Communication monitoring in priority (Mandarin speaker required). Also, assist Senior compliance officers in Trading Compliance daily tasks (REMIT, Trading surveillance, MNPI management, etc.)
Main Responsibilities
•Maintaining up to date the recording user list on a weekly basis
•Monitoring of recording system disconnection and ensuring completeness of coverage in a timely manner
•Analysis of communications alerts on a daily basis
•Assisting in business communication investigation (external and internal)
•Assisting in trading compliance monitoring (trading surveillance daily review)
•Handling requests and ad hoc information requests related to trading regulatory requirement
•Develop and maintain cooperation with internal departments at both individual and group level;
•Responsible for ensuring impeccable data quality on a daily basis.
•Monitoring and updating external registers/filings/exemptions necessary to continue trading and maintain license(s) to operate
•Identifying potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; developing/implementing corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and providing general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future
•Assisting in the development and provision of Compliance training
•Perform other ad-hoc duties assigned by manager
Profile
The individual should have the following experience:
•At least 5 years relevant working experience within a hedge fund, commodities, banking or a regulatory agency
•Familiar with EU regulations such as REMIT and MiFID
•Team player but also able to work independently
•Good communication skills to be able to discuss with front office, business counterparts and external parties
•Confident, precise, hands-on mentality and service-oriented
•Fluent in English & Mandarin
