Mission Statement:
We are seeking a driven and analytical Compensation Lead with extensive Workday experience to join our HR Operations team. In this key role, you will play a central part in ensuring our compensation HR Operations team. You will be responsible for utilizing your Workday expertise to implement effective compensation programs within the Workday platform, partnering with teams to run ongoing compensation activities. Effective people, stakeholder management. Compensation & Benefits Administration includes work focused on assisting and advising employees with compensation and benefit changes, enrollment process, eligibility, coverage amounts/options, and claims filing including Compensation (e.g., wages, base salary, bonuses, supplemental cash, sales compensation, executive compensation, long-term incentives, stock administration, etc.). Retirement benefits (e.g., defined contribution plans, profit-sharing plans, defined benefit pension programs, etc.). Benefits enrollment and personnel records maintenance (e.g., hire date, marital status, dependent information, breaks in service, etc.). Ensuring compliance with insurance, tax, securities, and other regulations and filing requirements.
Your Responsibilities:

Lead the ongoing maintenance of Workday Compensation modules (Salary Planning, Merit, Bonus, etc.). Implement Workday workflows and reports to streamline compensation processes. Utilize Workday integrations to ensure data accuracy and seamless compensation management.

Partner with Workday administrators, COE & IT to ensure optimal system performance for compensation functions. Implement and manage compensation programs, including salary structures, incentives (short term & long term) and bonuses. Enable COEs to conduct regular salary reviews and market analysis to ensure competitive compensation packages.

Collaborate with COEs to address compensation-related issues and provide guidance. Manage Annual salary reviews, Annual incentive program, and bonus programs for successful implementation. Oversee the successful implementation of compensation programs including salary adjustments, bonuses, and incentives.

Ensure all processes comply with relevant regulations and company policies. Prepare and submit required reports to government agencies. Manage audits related to payroll and benefits.Maintain accurate and confidential records of employee payroll and benefits information. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of compensation, and benefits operations.

Stay current with industry trends and best practices in payroll and benefits administration. Utilize HR technology and systems to streamline processes and improve service delivery. Identify opportunities for process improvements in payroll, compensation, and benefits administration.

Implement best practices and streamline operations to enhance efficiency. Lead projects related to system upgrades, process automation, and other initiatives. Lead, coach, and develop a team of payroll and benefits specialists.

Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and development opportunities. Manage and develop a team of com and benefits specialists. Provide training and support to team members.

Set performance goals and conduct regular performance reviews.

Function strategy: Defines and implements strategy within functional and geographic area of responsibility, in alignment with Group guidance, policies, and procedures.

Function process: Defines, implements, and continuously optimizes HR processes and procedures within area of functional responsibility in alignment with Hitachi Energy guidance, policy, and procedures.

HR solutions: Partners with HR leadership and business leaders to understand current issues that can be supported or resolved through existing, new, and/or improved HR practices, processes, or policies in area of functional specialty. Counsels HR and business leadership on effective solutions to resolve issues and support long-term objectives.

Special programs: Develops and implements special programs in area of functional specialty as appropriate.

Systems: Ensures relevant systems support function processes and procedures. Recommends changes to system functionality and supports systems implementations and upgrades in area of functional responsibility.

Special initiatives: Supports HR cross-functional initiatives in area of functional responsibility.

Compliance: Ensures compliance with legislation and HR policies and compliance standards in area of functional responsibility.

People leadership and development: Ensures (with support of the relevant HR Business Partner) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies.

Your Background:

Bachelor’s / Post Graduate degree and/or equivalent.

12- 15 years of hands-on experience on the HR Operations Benefits & Compensation.

Experience in project management and closely worked with management to drive initiatives and management activities across.

Strong knowledge of compensation and benefits regulations and compliance requirements.

Proficiency with payroll software and HRIS systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, SAP).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong leadership and team management abilities.

Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.

Strong organizational and project management skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Occasional travel may be required for training and conferences.

Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
