The Community Relations Representative is a dynamic professional responsible for establishing and cultivating relationships on behalf of Full Sail University within the education community and entertainment media industries.
The Community Relations Representative will facilitate onsite and virtual student workshops, and group/VIP tours, deliver brand-level presentations, participate in regional community events, and provide support services to the education community at large.
The Community Relations Representative is a community-facing representative for Full Sail University, and as such must have a genuine passion for people, higher education, and the entertainment media industry. Community Relations Representatives are high-energy brand-building professionals with exceptional facilitation, presentation, communication, and organizational skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Behave as a Full Sail University ambassador and embrace our unique educational model, while maintaining the highest level of integrity, professionalism, customer service, and compliance.
- Book and facilitate Full Sail University interactive experiences/workshops on different media arts and technology related topics for students and educators (K-12)
- Support regional college fairs, career nights, STEM/STEAM events, marketing events, community events, and additional prospective student & alumni activities as needed.
- Present Keynote slides and videos in-front of large audiences while accurately explaining Full Sail University educational programs, expected outcomes, and student services to prospective students and teachers.
- Conduct comprehensive tours of Full Sail University’s educational facilities for Group Tours (High School, Middle School, Community & VIP Groups), Virtual Tours and On-Campus Events.
- Accurately and completely explain Full Sail University educational programs, expected outcomes, and student services to prospective students.
- Assist in additional outreach-based initiatives (High School, Military and International) on behalf of Full Sail University as needed.
- Research, identify and build relationships with educational travel companies (Florida, Southeast US, and International) to help promote and add our "Campus Experience" initiative to any Orlando educational travel packages.
- Collaborate with Educator/Community Outreach team to maximize teacher advocacy, support services, and network.
- Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including late nights, weekends, extended hours, and overnight travel (especially during peak seasons).
- Reliable transportation, valid driver license, clean driving record, and willingness to travel are required.
Other Responsibilities:
- Remain up to date on relevant info related to Full Sail University, Full Sail Labs, the entertainment media industry, post-secondary education and ACCSC.
- Maintain current and thorough knowledge of all Full Sail University and Full Sail Labs educational offerings.
- Research and maintain target high school and educator contact database within Full Sail University customer relationship management system (CRM).
- Document all communication and contact information within Full Sail University customer relationship management system (CRM).
- Confirm all recruiting and engagement activities at least 3 days prior to the event date.
- Ensure proper ingestion of prospective student inquiries into Full Sail University CRM immediately at the conclusion of all recruiting activities.
- Assist with educational and industry research to enhance K-12 initiatives
- Maintain consistent communication with direct supervisor, and partner with other regional staff, campus personnel, and leadership team to plan and execute strategic brand advocacy activities.
- Apply best practices across all initiatives to ensure a consistent brand experience.
- Assist with clerical and business operations on various Outreach initiatives when needed.
- Complete expense reports as needed.

Education and/or Experience:
- Associates degree required with 1-3 years of customer relations experience
- An understanding of college admissions process and educational models for k-12 education (Including STEM, STEAM or CTE).
- Must successfully participate in and complete all continuing education/training requirements.
- Background check mandatory.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Must become a licensed agent for Full Sail University in the state of Florida (additional states as needed).
Computer/Equipment Skills:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, iLife, iWork, various web tools, and Salesforce CRM enterprise software.
- Proficient with various Apple and Windows based hardware.
- Proficient with various audio/video/gaming equipment.
- Proficient with communication software such as Zoom or MicrosoftTeams
Environmental Factors/Physical Demands:
- Need to have the stamina to work with K-12 age range
- Need to be comfortable working on your feet for long hours
- Comfortable sitting on the floor and picking items up from floor
- Comfortable hauling equipment between locations (laptops, iPads, robots, cameras, costumes, etc.)
