Summary:

We're looking for a dynamic and operationally savvy Communications Manager to join the Financial Services division! This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in communications who is ready to take on their next challenge and make a significant impact within our organization. As part of the Chief of Staff's team, this role will collaborate closely with knowledge management, event, and meeting management to support the Financial Services Executive Leadership and home office teams. The Communications Manager will be responsible for managing internal communications and supporting change management initiatives, shepherding new initiatives into our standard operating cadence. Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills are essential, along with the ability to create and manage communication processes effectively.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Communications Management:

  • Oversee the intake process for the Financial Services Weekly Digest, gatekeeping to ensure all relevant information is collected and curated ahead of any new initiative launch.
  • Oversee the content and structure of internal communication channels, including Teams Channels and PulseNet (our Sharepoint-based intranet).
  • Develop and maintain an editorial calendar, providing proactive support to operational teams driving platform adoption in the field.
  • Manage industry and internal awards processes, including following Compliance procedures.
  • Collaborate with knowledge management, event, and meeting management teams to support communication efforts for national events and executive presentations.
  • Assist in creating compelling stories from industry information and support both written and spoken communication needs, contributing to change management initiatives.

· Content Creation and Social Media Management:

  • Create and manage content for various communication channels, including written, digital, and video formats.
  • Manage the professional social media presence for executives, as needed, to support change management communications.
  • Ensure all content is aligned with the organization's communication strategy and change management objectives.

· Process Development and Operational Support:

  • Create, document and provide update reporting on communication processes and ensure they are followed through to completion.
  • Develop systems and processes to support proactive and reactive communication needs.
  • Ensure all communication processes are operationally efficient and contribute to the overall change management strategy.

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, familiarity video communication is a plus.
  • Ability to create and manage communication processes.
  • Proactive and operationally minded with the ability to close the loop on projects.
  • Experience in managing internal communication channels and supporting change management initiatives.
  • Experience in financial services - institutional retirement, insurance or individual wealth management a plus.
  • Familiarity with professional social media platforms like LinkedIn.
  • The ideal candidate should enjoy being part of an office environment and be willing to attend in-person meetings when beneficial, although there are no set days or times required for in-office presence.

Skills:

  • Comfort and skill in communicating and building professional relationships with a variety of sophisticated constituencies including staff, executives, clients, and vendor partners
  • Ability to multi-task and manage priorities effectively while proactively taking the initiative to solve problems
  • Poised and confident individual with excellent personal communication skills (written and verbal) and a positive, “can-do” attitude are required
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and with internet/intranet usage and ability to learn proprietary software and databases
  • Ease with working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment including the ability to multitask and re-prioritize on the fly
  • A keen eye for detail and incremental improvements
  • Independence and a problem-solving mindset balanced with knowing when to ask for help
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times and with unquestionable integrity

Education, Training and Experience:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field or relevant equivalent work experience.

Experience:

  • 5 years of experience in communications, public relations, or a related field, with a proven track record of managing internal communications and supporting change management initiatives.

Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance.
