OVERVIEW 

Verdani Partners is seeking a dynamic and skilled writer and manager to elevate our client and corporate communications. This role supports our Communications team in executing projects and administrative tasks. We need a professional who is proactive, self-sufficient, creative, and resourceful. Preference will be given to those with: 

  • Emphasis on client services experience. The balance of this role is 80-20% client services to marketing. 

  • Proven work experience in ESG, sustainability, and/or commercial real estate 

  • Strong writing portfolio with samples that include technical writing for data driven narrative (annual reports, white papers, research reports, etc.) 

  • Desire and ability to work in a high-energy and fast-paced environment 

  • Excellent communication and people skills 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
CONTENT WRITING:

  • Collaborate with Verdani colleagues, the communications director, ESG teams, and client marketing teams to drive critical ESG communications and execute hands-on projects. 

  • Translate clients’ ESG strategies into diverse communication materials: Create reports, regulatory disclosures, marketing content, website messaging, case studies, multimedia, pitch books, press releases, blogs, articles, presentations, and more, while aligning with the client’s brand, voice, and objectives. 

  • Lead the development and production of annual ESG reports and other disclosures: Manage all aspects from content development, writing, and data gathering to client liaison, schedule creation and management, and final publication. 

COMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT:

  • Coordinate communications projects: Track timelines, to-do lists, calendars, and deadlines to ensure timely completion. 

  • Ideate, develop, and write for corporate marketing and communications projects: Create compelling content that aligns with Verdani’s brand, voice, and objectives. 

  • Support the preparation and production of PowerPoint presentations and social media: Assist in creating engaging presentations and social media content. 

  • Offer guidance to designers for marketing pieces and client work: Provide direction for charts, graphs, infographics, and other visuals, ensuring adherence to relevant brand guidelines. 

  • Update Verdani website text content: Maintain and enhance website content, ensuring quality and consistency. 

  • Conduct market research and develop marketing proposals: Stay informed about industry trends and create proposals to support marketing strategies. 

  • Support other content writers with proofreading and quality control checking as needed.

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field 

  • 4-6+ years of professional writing experience 

  • 4-6+ years in corporate communications and/or marketing 

  • Strong experience in creating and elevating content and ability to align with brand and style guidelines and industry best practices 

  • Strong proofreading and quality control checking ability 

  • Recent ESG-focused communications experience, preferably in institutional real estate or financial services 

  • Strategic and tactical balance; ability to manage day-to-day execution and project management 

  • Highly organized and detail oriented 

  • Exceptional writing skills, with strong ability to translate technical activities, results, and concepts into accessible messages 

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, able to interact effectively with individuals at all levels 

  • Ability to work across time zones 

  • Exceptional multi-tasking skills; strong work ethic and accountability, self-motivated to complete projects and meet tight deadlines

  • Team player; thrive in a high-energy, performance-based environment and work well with team members across disciplines and locations 

  • Independent project management skills; ability to conceptualize, prioritize, initiate, and execute projects with or without management support 

  • Flexibility and adaptability; willingness to evolve with the role and team 

Preferred: 

  • Proficiency with collaboration tools: SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite, (Word, Publisher, PowerPoint) and PM tools like Monday.com 

  • Proficient in design feedback: Skilled in design, color palette, layout, and typography, providing constructive feedback to the design team on various projects 

  • Comfort with public speaking, both live and on camera, a plus 

PLATFORMS & SOFTWARE 
Required: 

  • Proficiency with PC platforms 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Excel, and Word; we use Word, Excel, and PowerPoint daily

  • If working remotely, must have reliable daily access to high-speed Internet connection

Preferred: 

  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite products, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, a plus 

  • Experience with Squarespace (or Wix) website builders, data visualization tools (such as Power BI or Tableau), or ArcGIS, a plus 

WORK SAMPLES
