Job Description Summary:
The OhioHealth Communications intern plays an integral role in supporting our team as we communicate and engage with our 35,000+ associates, providers and volunteers.
In this position, you will get hands-on experience with communications strategy, audience identification, engagement opportunities, intranet functionality, email optimization and all the things that help connect our associates and providers to the mission and values of OhioHealth.
This position will be responsible for supporting the activities and projects of the department. Assist management and other staff members in a specific department with a variety of tasks including projects, special events and daily activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School or GED (Required)QUALIFICATIONS
- Junior or senior-level college students pursuing a degree in communications, marketing, journalism or related fields. Graduate level or postgraduate level applicants will not be considered.
- Strong writing and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently as well as part of a team
- Professional self-starter and self-motivator
- Familiarity with AP style
- Flexible work style with remote work opportunity
JOB SPECIFICS
- Paid ($16/hour) for no less than a one-year commitment with a 90-day review to ensure the internship is a good fit. Summer-only internships are not offered.
- Hours per week depend on the position and the job site, but typically are 20 hours/week during the school year and 30-40 hours/week during the summer or school breaks.
- Dress is business casual
- Some after-hour event support may be needed
