As a Communications Associate, you'll create communication that informs and engages employees about company programs, news, and offerings. You'll collaborate with colleagues across the organization and within the communications teams to ensure messaging is consistent and aligned.
Wayfair’s Global Service team is looking for an exceptional communicator with a natural ability for storytelling to join its Communications team. This is a dynamic opportunity to contribute to Wayfair’s internal communications strategy, aimed at keeping our global team informed, engaged, and aligned with the company’s vision and values. As a Communications Associate, you will draft compelling content to drive awareness and engagement for our internal programs, business news, and offerings. Working closely with cross-functional partners and teams across the organization, you will ensure consistent and impactful messaging. The ideal candidate will be a strong writer with excellent attention to detail, capable of thriving in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. You should possess a passion for storytelling, and an unrelenting focus on measurement. You will bring creativity, initiative, and a deep curiosity to every communication challenge.
What You’ll Do
- Write and edit high-quality content for internal communication channels, including newsletters, Slack, town halls, and more
- Develop and schedule internal newsletters, ensuring content aligns with the editorial calendar, adheres to the style guide, and delivers consistent, high-quality messaging to engage employees.
- Collaborate with teams to develop and execute effective internal communication campaigns
- Maintain and update editorial calendars to ensure timely delivery of communications
- Track, measure, and report on communication campaign success and areas for improvement; use insights from comms analytics to refine messaging and provide recommendations.
- Provide strategic communication counsel to internal stakeholders around evolving policies and processing; analyze qualitative feedback from stakeholders to refine communication strategies and materials.
- Stay current on the latest trends and best practices in employee communication
- Partner with cross-functional teams to reinforce corporate communications initiatives
- Identify and contribute ideas for impactful internal storytelling and communications
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; AP Style knowledge is a plus
- Awareness of employee communication trends, news, and events
- Ability to adapt writing for various channels (email, video, Slack, digital signage, etc.)
- Demonstrated focus on delivering results and continuous improvement
- Ability to collaborate on multiple, simultaneous projects effectively and efficiently
- A growth mindset and eagerness to learn and evolve by seeking continuous feedback and proactively develop skills ahead of company and team goals
- Strong organizational skills with strong attention to detail and ability to collaborate on creating communication plans
