How you’ll make an impact:


As a Communications Advisor, you will have experience in supporting and delivering high impact, multi-channel communications programs. You will report to the Head of Communications Asia and provide support across all communication functions - including public relations, project management, content development, administration and reportingThis role requires you to have an eye for detail and the natural ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects whilst hitting deadlines.

What you'll do:

  • Support the Head of Communications, Asia and Managing Director, Asia on Communications activities and events, including executive profiling, content production, media briefings
  • Help develop, draft and review content for a variety of channels and audiences - including blogs, media releases, sponsored content and social media to help Xero tell its story 
  • Execute an integrated program of diverse and creative communications campaigns aligned to our business strategy to maximise media exposure and brand awareness in Asia
  • Help with research on issues ranging from competitor positioning to developments in the small business economy 
  • Develop presentations and other communications documents - including briefing booklets and other documents for Asia leadership team and media 
  • Coordinate communications reporting and analysis using measurement tools
  • Prepare media reports and coordinate communications reporting including using media measurement tools
  • Provide administrative support - including invoice processing, meeting coordination, event support, and supplier and budget management
  • Assist with managing the PR agency
  • Contribute toward the broader Xero Communications strategy and team efforts, which incorporate PR, analyst relations, government relations, university relations, community and content

What you'll bring with you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, or a related field
  • At least five years’ proven experience in public relations and communications 
  • A strong writer and editor that can interpret complex information into clear messaging
  • Demonstrated experience in working across multiple projects simultaneously with different stakeholder groups
  • Experience writing copy at pace with strong editing skills
  • An understanding of Singapore’s media landscape and experience either working in, or with, an agency
  • Experience in the design and use of Google Slides, Powerpoint and spreadsheets
  • Self-motivated, self-sufficient with a high attention to detail
