Job Description:

The Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a team, ensuring efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervision and oversight of staff, including production, quality, and training for both new and existing team members.
  • Providing regular coaching and constructive feedback to employees.
  • Managing workflow and service levels to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Monitoring daily production within the unit and making necessary adjustments.
  • Maintaining regular communication with agents to support business needs.
  • Handling and responding to escalated calls and emails professionally and efficiently.

Preferred Knowledge & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Workers' Compensation, Commercial Auto, and Businessowners Policy (BOP) preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of underwriting experience in commercial lines.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred, though a combination of insurance experience and relevant work history will be considered.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a proactive approach to team management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and underwriting systems.
