We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to deliver the Commercial Planning vision for the UK & Ireland.  

Join our Regional Commercial Development (RCD) team in Western Europe and play a key role in delivering commercial value to our UK & Ireland Business Unit (BU), as well as supporting regional and global teams.  

In this position, you will guide the Business Unit’s Commercial Planning processes and provide valuable insights to optimise consumer sales, helping the LEGO Group achieve its strategic objectives and make a meaningful impact.
 

Please note: This position will be based in our LEGO Office in Slough, and will follow a hybrid working model with 3 days in the office and up to 2 days remotely. Relocation support is not offered.

Core Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee the Commercial Planning cycle for the sales team by managing efficient monthly processes, establishing clear briefs, and tracking risks and opportunities using CTM (Commercial Target Management) and TPM (Trade Promotion Management) tools and dashboards.

  • Support in the development of the Business Unit (BU) annual Integrated Commercial Plan (ICP) with valuable insights and drive its execution through in year monthly processes.

  • Lead the preparation and execution of the Joint Business Planning (JBP) process, ensuring plans remain active throughout the execution year.

  • Organise and facilitate the Sales Assumption Review (SAR) meeting to promote commercially aligned monthly planning.

  • Support the creation of Commercial Selling-In Materials for Western Europe and develop UK & Ireland-specific presentation decks to enhance engagement and effectiveness with retailers

  • Promote local CTM and TPM initiatives to ensure Sales teams utilise tools consistently, while fostering strong communication with local Super Users and providing feedback to regional and global product teams.

  • Manage BU processes related to Customer Pulse and Confidentiality to effectively address internal and external needs.

  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure they are well-prepared to achieve strategic priorities, engaged with deployments, and maintaining high data quality for effective analysis.

  • Assist in the execution of key RCD priorities in partnership with Revenue Management, Portfolio, and Category teams.

  • Provide ad-hoc support to the BU Lead on broader commercial deployments and processes.

Contribute to our team's success! The Western Europe Region is the largest Market Group within the LEGO Group, encompassing 16 countries. The ideal candidate will be a vital member of the Regional Commercial Development Team, deeply integrated into the UK/I Business Unit.

Do you have what it takes  

  • A proven track record of business performance in commercial roles, with a current understanding of the retail and channel landscape across Western Europe, particularly in the UK & Ireland.

  • Experience working in a large international manufacturing organisation or a complex retail environment, with strong expertise in establishing sales processes and governance practices.

  • A solid commercial competence, along with the ability to develop structured deployments and effectively present to sales teams.

  • The capability to engage and influence multiple stakeholders across various functions and levels, with experience in driving complex projects.

  • A strategic attitude combined with a pragmatic approach to broader business challenges, thriving in situations of ambiguity.

  • Proficiency in commercial systems and tools, with the ability to create efficiencies for others and garner support for initiatives.

  • Strong analytical skills, with a proven ability to translate insights into actionable plans. A passion for innovation, creativity, and change management when proposing and implementing new growth strategies.

  • A proactive attitude towards finding opportunities and effectively addressing or mitigating challenges.
