We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Lines Operations Manager to lead and develop our Commercial Lines team. This role is responsible for hiring, training, and managing staff while overseeing departmental processes to ensure efficiency and exceptional client service. Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Hire, develop, and manage P&C staff, including Account Managers, Assistants, and Client Representatives.
  • Support Team Leaders in hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Oversee employee development programs and assist with setting annual goals.
  • Manage training initiatives for new hires and ongoing staff education.
  • Monitor and approve staff time off, expense reports, and continuing education requests.
  • Provide periodic updates on E&O issues and facilitate department-wide training.
  • Assist with department meetings, policy development, and account audits.
  • Work with IT to implement programs that enhance efficiency within the department.
  • Oversee reassignment of service staff in EPIC and manage Indio Administration.
  • Generate and review department renewal reports, loss reports, and system audits.
  • Maintain staff logins, monitor carrier document emails, and manage workflow processes.
  • Attend agency operations meetings and contribute to process improvements.
  • Serve as Client Manager for a select book of business (3-5 commercial accounts).
  • Develop new task procedures as needed to optimize department operations.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; CPCU, CIC, or equivalent designation preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Property & Casualty insurance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of P&C coverages, exposures, risk evaluation, and loss control.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Producers, Client Managers, and support staff.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in EPIC, Word, and Excel preferred.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
