This specification defines a Commercial Finance Analyst (CFA) job description.
The CFA assists Commercial Finance Manager in managing all the financial aspects related to commercial activities in Korea and other region. The CFA will support controlling actual spending against budget such as marketing programs, customer program and events, preparing budget/Strat plan, conducting month-end closing activities and reconciliation accounts.
Responsibilities/Typical Duties
- Perform month-end closing activities, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Analyze and interpret financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Leading prepares annual budgeting/5-year Strat plan, quarterly/monthly outlook if needed, accomplish key financial measures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Proven experience with analyzing process (finance and operations), identifying deficiencies, and implementing process improvement and standardization
- Excellence in financial skills, understanding of month-end closing activities.
- Strong knowledge of US- GAAP / K-GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Ability to take ownership of ambiguous situations
- Proficiency in QAD, OneStream, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Fluency in English
- Experience with POWER BI, WEBI or automation tools preferred
- Sarbanes-Oxley experience a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance a plus
- A minimum of 6 years of increasing responsibilities in multi-division and fast paced environment, preferred in manufacturing
Working Conditions
- Located in the Clarios Seoul office.
- Business travel to other locations may be required.
