Job Description:

At Regions, the Commercial Card Consultant is responsible for growing interchange income by using a consultative approach for selling Automated Accounts Payable Solutions and card programs. This position partners with other members of the Commercial Card team and internal partners to ensure growth and retention strategies and tactics are aligned with revenue goals.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Engages Regions Bank Treasury teams to maximize sales opportunities to existing clients
  • Engages the client to understand current and future needs to sell solutions that ensure client satisfaction
  • Leverages internal resources, industry knowledge, and personal experience to identify account expansion opportunities
  • Performs file spend analysis and prepares Request for Proposals (RFP), proposals, and presentation materials for prospects and customers
  • Acts as subject matter expert for product feature functionality and web-based technology platforms utilized by customers
  • Understands the competition of assigned markets and develops strategic plans for obtaining greater share of market
  • Works with the Implementation and Account Management teams to transition new accounts as they are added to their portfolios; Support account management for rebids and program expansion as needed
  • Ensures compliance with the bank's Business Standards of Conduct and all Patriot Act, Customer Identification Program (CIP), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), information security, and suspicious activity reporting requirements, and other regulatory and compliance policies and procedures
  • Participates in any required corporate and business line Compliance Training
  • Offers advice and guidance to junior consultants, assisting in the development of necessary skills and promoting continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assists senior management in implementing auditing procedures to ensure practices comply with all applicable policies, guidelines, and regulations

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

This position is incentive eligible.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field and four (4) years of experience in Treasury Management, or Commercial Card sales with a proven history of closing profitable deals
  • Or High School Diploma and eight (8) years of experience in Treasury Management, or Commercial Card sales with a proven history of closing profitable deals
  • Proven experience building and managing an effective pipeline of growth opportunities
  • Ability to travel days and/or nights approximately fifty percent (50%) of the time

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to build and leverage relationships with internal colleagues and support personnel
  • Effective sales cycle development with proven experience in building and managing an effective pipeline of growth opportunities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills , interpersonal skills, and presentation skills
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Proven ability to handle multiple priorities, work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly while demonstrating flexibility/adaptability/personal accountability
  • Self starter with strong organization skills and the ability to work independently
  • Superior consulting skills, ability to assess client needs and build strong business cases

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

Minimum:

$120,676.71 USD

Median:

$153,499.50 USD

Incentive Pay Plans:

This role is eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive plan. Employees have the potential to receive a discretionary award based on performance against defined metrics and goals.Opportunity to participate in the Long Term Incentive Plan.
