Envusa Energy is seeking a Commercial and Trading Specialist to play a pivotal role in shaping the company's Commercial Strategy, with a particular emphasis on third-party offtakers, SAWEM, and trading strategies.

Envusa Energy is a 50-50 joint venture co-controlled by EDF Renewables South Africa and Anglo American. Envusa aims to develop and supply renewable energy solutions across Southern Africa. The company will support the decarbonization of Anglo American's operations by delivering 3 to 5 GW of renewable assets by 2030, with their first project, Koruson 2, expected to be operational by early 2026.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Head of Commercial in developing and implementing the commercial strategy.

Act as a key interface for third-party offtakers, SAWEM, and trading strategies.

Assist in the development of trading platforms and innovative contracting models.

Engage with stakeholders, industry bodies, and regulatory entities such as NERSA and Eskom.

Provide commercial support to business planning, valuation, and risk management.
Requirements
- Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- 5+ years experience in commercial roles, preferably in energy trading or renewable energy.
- Strong background in finance, trading, and customer-focused industries.
- Experience in structuring complex financial transactions and external stakeholder management.
- Skills in financial modeling, energy trading, and project finance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Fluency in English (French or South African languages is a plus).
