JOB DESCRIPTION:
MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

Individual contributor that works under limited supervision.

Applies subject matter knowledge and requires capacity to understand specific needs or requirements to apply skills/knowledge.

Responsible for providing a safe and healthy working environment for all employees, and for managing return-to-work programs for ill or injured employees.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Supports the maintenance and analysis of records of workplace injuries, illness, and absences to identify areas of concern.

Supports the education and training of the organization’s workforce on health and safety policies and standards.

Supports the selection, training, and evaluation of workplace safety officers to ensure they understand and can perform the responsibilities of their role.

Provides first aid supplies and resources are available in accordance with regulations and the organization’s health and safety policies.
