SUMMARY: Operate CNC Machines to support the production process and perform changeovers of CNC machines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain the readiness of CNC machines, including indicating axis, etc.
- Prioritize individual workflow to operate multiple CNC machines efficiently to hit productivity goals.
- Prepare castings for CNC machining including the installation of components.
- Deburr, wash, and pressure test parts.
- Assist with setups including changing fixtures, tools, measuring tools, and program changes.
- Perform all required quality inspections to ensure product meets or exceeds quality standards.
- Report labor, productivity, and other KPI’s promptly and accurately.
- Follow all established processes and safety procedures.
- Monitor inventory of cutting tools and machining supplies.
- Perform basic machine troubleshooting
- Perform PM’s as scheduled and ensure that all machines are properly maintained.
- Assist in development and training of Level 1 CNC Operators and identifying training needs of the team.
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school graduate, Minimum of 5 years machining experience in a production environment.
Must have:
- Hands-on operation experience with CNC machining centers.
- 4 or 5-axis VMC and or HMC experience.
- Fanuc Pro 3 or Pro 5 controller experience a plus.
- Experience with measuring and gauging equipment.
Qualified candidates may also be considered for a Level 3 position based on experience and skills.
