The CNC Cutting Operator I will operate cutting equipment by loading material, selecting cut files, monitoring operation to ensure parts meet quality standards and department schedules are met. This role will be mentored and supported by team members on project work and customer interaction.

As a CNC Cutting Operator I, you will be responsible for:

  • Selecting and running CNC cut files on correctly identified materials
  • Recording operational or production data
  • Starting machines, monitoring operations, making adjustments as needed, and notifying manager if maintenance or repairs are needed
  • Feeding materials or products into or through equipment, locating, and zeroing to cut files
  • Conducting routine maintenance on machine and adhering to safety guidelines while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Adjusting machine controls to produce specified product
  • Following daily schedule to ensure master schedule deadlines are maintained
  • Keeping accurate inventory of machine consumables, preventative maintenance items, and PPE to contacting management for ordering as needed
  • Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned

To be considered as a CNC Cutting Operator I, you will need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
  • Ability to read, write, and understand instructions in English
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good attention to detail and organizational skills

A successful candidate may also have:

  • Experience in manufacturing
  • CNC machine operation experience
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to accurately read, understand and demonstrate how to use a tape measure to the nearest 1/16” of an inch
  • Ability to work overtime as needed including weekends
