POSITION SUMMARY:

We have a very special and unique opening for a marketing leader in our CLUB promotions area. This will be a great opportunity for someone who loves the outdoors, marketing, and building a team.  This leader will work with their team to develop and manage programs focused on driving loyalty, engagement and sales with our very best customers.  If you have experience putting together marketing plans, managing budgets and timelines while developing an all-star team who loves the outdoors then this is the role for you!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Create, lead and manage multi-channel marketing strategies around specific programs and products to increase CLUB member acquisition, activation and retention. Oversee execution to ensure results meet or exceed expectations.  

  • Guide, provide direction and motivation to the marketing staff so the team can perform effectively. Provide feedback, coaching, training and support, track the progress of each employee's activities and effectiveness, and hold them accountable for quality and deadlines.

  • Manage relationships with external vendors and internal partners to ensure marketing programs are: integrated within Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s omni-channel strategy, executed successfully and managed to budget.  

  • Research, develop and lead strategies to identify new programs, partnerships and products to integrate into CLUB. Present recommendations to senior leadership and influence decision making through research, analysis and effective communication.  

  • Lead small to medium size internal and cross-functional projects and provide support to large scale projects that impact assigned marketing strategies.  

  • Manage all budgeting, reporting and compliance processes for assigned CLUB marketing strategies. 

  • Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Degree Required:  Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or Equivalent

  • Experience:   4-6 years 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY

  • Experience successfully managing medium to large projects while achieving desired financial and business results

  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to facilitate cross-functional teams; some supervisory or management experience required

  • Extensive communication (written and verbal), mediation (conflict resolution) and facilitation skills

  • Visionary with long term focus - able to see the end result

  • Self-starter; demonstrates personal initiative and willingly assumes responsibility and ownership

  • Ability to build a motivated, positive, trust-based team and strong working relationships with internal and external customers

  • Ability to create an open environment supportive of free sharing of information and ideas that is also conducive to contribution, growth and achievement

  • Customer focused behavior

  • Exemplary standards of integrity, personal work ethic and continuous involvement in self education and development

  • Proficiency in Windows, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office tools

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • 20%

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Regular computer work, and sitting

  • Occasional walking, standing, and lifting up to 50lbs

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

Develops objectives and general policies and procedures for a specific program or functional area of responsibility within general scope of established operational goals and plans. Day-to-day work and decisions do not require direction or review by immediate supervisor. End results are reviewed by supervisor.
