Job Summary: 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Cloud Operations Manager to lead a team of 10-15 cloud operations staff responsible for managing operations with respect to the CDK AWS and Azure platforms. This role will focus on 24x7 operations for both CDK developed cloud infrastructure services and CDK applications hosted on Azure and AWS. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Team Leadership: 

• Hire, train, and mentor a high-performing team of cloud operations engineers. 

• Conduct performance reviews and manage salary administration to ensure team motivation and growth. 

• Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture that encourages continuous learning. 

• Cloud Engineering Management: 

• Oversee the day to day operations for CDK AWS and Azure platforms. 

• Ensure run-books are developed and used by operations staff 

• Define, collect and present metrics that represent cloud operations delivery quality. 

• Ensure compliance with governance policies and best practices in cloud service management. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product/application adoption and integration. 

• Escalate operational issues to Cloud Engineering and/or cloud vendors as appropriate during operational incidents 

• Strategic Planning: 

• Participate in the long-term strategy for cloud services, aligning with organizational goals. 

• Identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions to enhance cloud infrastructure and services. 

• Mentorship and Development: 

• Provide guidance and support to team members in their professional development. 

• Encourage skill enhancement through training, workshops, and hands-on experience. 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. 

• Proven experience in cloud operations, with a strong background in AWS and Azure platforms. 

• Demonstrated leadership experience managing operational teams. 

• Strong understanding of cloud governance, architecture, and operational best practices. 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. 

• Cloud FinOps experience is a plus
