Role Overview/Description

At Kantar, we are seeking a Cloud Network Engineer who will play a pivotal role in the design, implementation, and management of our Azure and AWS-based networking infrastructure! Your primary responsibility will be building secure, scalable, and highly available cloud networks that align with our organizational needs and business objectives. Working closely with cloud architects, security experts, and DevOps teams, you will ensure the robustness, security, and peak performance optimization of our Azure and AWS network architecture.

Your role will involve bringing to bear and leading network resources in Azure and AWS, using services such as Azure Virtual Networks, Azure Load Balancer, Azure Application Gateway, Azure Network Security Groups, as well as AWS VPCs, Elastic Load Balancers (ELBs), AWS Transit Gateway, and AWS Security Groups. You will demonstrate standard methodologies for network security, performance, and reliability, ensuring seamless integration with other cloud and on-premises systems.

Your role will involve implementing automation and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles for efficient network configuration and management. You will work with tools such as Terraform, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, CloudFormation, or Ansible. Additionally, you will drive continuous improvement by integrating CI/CD methodologies to automate network deployment and updates. This will ensure faster and more reliable network provisioning across both Azure and AWS environments.

Drive continuous improvements and innovations within our multi-cloud infrastructure by understanding Azure's and AWS's networking capabilities, automation techniques, and CI/CD practices.

Role Requirements & Capabilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may also be considered.

  • Certifications in Azure, AWS, and networking technologies are highly desirable (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate, AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty).

  • Demonstrated ability in network engineering, with a focus on cloud networking within Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments.

  • Confirmed hands-on experience with Azure networking services (e.g., Virtual Networks (VNets), Load Balancers, Azure Firewall) and AWS networking services (e.g., VPCs, Elastic Load Balancers (ELBs), Route 53, Direct Connect).

  • Proven expertise in hybrid cloud and multi-region environments, ensuring seamless connectivity across both Azure, AWS, and on-premises systems.

  • Experience with automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates to automate network provisioning and management in multi-cloud environments.

  • Knowledge and practical experience with CI/CD methodologies for networking infrastructure across Azure and AWS, ensuring streamlined and automated deployments.

  • Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, VPN) applicable in Azure and AWS cloud environments.

  • Proficiency in standard methodologies for network security, encompassing Network Security Groups (NSGs), Azure DDoS Protection, AWS Shield, and AWS Web Application Firewall (WAF).

  • Solid experience with Azure ExpressRoute, AWS Direct Connect, and VPN Gateway for establishing secure connections between on-premises and cloud networks.

  • Proficiency with monitoring and troubleshooting tools like Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch, Network Watcher, and VPC Flow Logs for analyzing and resolving network performance issues.

  • Working knowledge of DevOps principles, including experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (e.g., Git), and automation in both Azure and AWS cloud networking contexts.

  • Problem-solving: ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex networking issues in real time, in both Azure and AWS.

  • Adaptability: comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and keeping up with constantly evolving cloud technologies across multi-cloud platforms.

  • Collaboration: work effectively in cross-functional teams, sharing insights and solutions with other teams across both Azure and AWS.
